Mumbai UniversityGarware Institute of Career Education and Development (GICED) has initiated a landmark collaboration with the Institute of Risk Management’s India Affiliate (IRM India) to offer IRM’s Global Level 1 Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) course as a 2-credit open elective virtual course under the National Education Policy (NEP, 2020). Headquartered in the UK and established in 1986, IRM is the world’s leading certification body for ERM.

Mumbai University alumni working in any function (HR, supply chain, finance, audit, governance, procurement, branding) or role (entrepreneur, family business owner, professional, employee) can also enroll for this course to enhance their skills and start a career in ERM.

As part of the course, students will get a physical textbook, 3-month access to the online learning portal from IRM India Affiliate which includes study material, course videos and 24/7 AI-enabled academic support through faculty. Exams will soon be conducted on a continuous basis
Students complete the online training. Students will have unlimited attempts to pass the exam within a period of 3 months. Once students pass the internal and external exams, GICED will prepare a mark sheet as per the university’s academic schedule, and 2 academic credits will be awarded under the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC). Candidates will then have the opportunity to pay and appear for a supplementary online exam by IRM India to receive IRM’s Global Level 1 Certificate from the UK, recognised in 140 countries.
Registrations for the course will begin on 15th October 2024. Students and alumni of the university can pre-register by making inquiries on the registration section. College Deans/Faculties/Program Coordinators/Heads of Departments affiliated to Mumbai University interested in offering this international course under NEP, integrate this course in their curriculum.
