“They come here every morning,” Britney said over the footage. “It’s probably a hangout spot, because nothing is dead here, they’re just having fun.”
The 33-year-old pregnant mother then brought in her eldest daughter, three-year-old Sterling Skye, and asked her, “What are these?”
“Disgusting!” Sterling Sky shouted in response.
The mother laughed at her daughter’s declaration and said, “Really.”

The footage shows the predatory birds basking in the sun on Mahomes’ 50-yard football and soccer field, with the darkness of the distant woods beyond. Mother and daughter stood safely on a balcony watching the scene unfold. In the background, another child could be heard screaming in fear while her mother tried to comfort her.
The black vulture, also known as the American black vulture, Mexican vulture, zopillot, urubu or gallinazgo, has a migration route that extends from the southeastern United States to Peru, central Chile and Uruguay in South America.
The area where Mahomes lives, Cass County, Missouri, is better known for the black vulture’s relative, the turkey vulture. But this year, the county has seen a large migration of black vultures.

Black vultures have begun migrating north to the Cass County area this summer, according to the county’s local newspaper. the tribune timesLast month, the paper reported that “very aggressive” black vultures were causing problems for local farmers as they preyed on newborn calves and lambs.
Now, they are even invading the property of one of the most prominent Mahomes families in the county, and desecrating the compound they built.
After Patrick signed a 10-year, $450 million contract with the Kansas City Chiefs in August 2020, he used $400,000 to purchase an eight-acre lot. The couple married in March 2022, a year after Sterling Skye was born, then their one-year-old son, Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III, was born in December of that year. The home was completed, and they were able to move in, in February 2023, and it includes a dual-purpose football and soccer field that features his last name spelled out in black letters in the end zone. Now that field is currently serving as a daily “hangout spot” for vultures.

What’s ominous is that these black birds’ wildlife invasion came days after the Chiefs’ win over the Baltimore Ravens. Mahomes denied the Ravens a chance to avenge their loss in last year’s AFC Championship Game.
Now, Mahomes will have to deal with these birds as he prepares for the Chiefs’ big game against Joe Burrow and the rival Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday. Kansas City is trying to remain undefeated after a win in Week 1, and has aspirations of becoming the first team in NFL history to do so. three wins in a row Super Bowls.
During an interview with Logan Paul on the “Impaulsive” podcast, Mahomes reaffirmed his belief that the Chiefs will again achieve that goal, which is the quarterback’s expectation this year.
“Next year in New Orleans, we’re going to do it again,” Mahomes declared. “Put it on the table. We’re going to do it again. I’m telling you that right now.”
Not only that, but Mahomes and the Chiefs offense may have to try to put together a historic drive by implementing plays designed by Taylor Swift. The quarterback said Swift, who has been dating Mahomes’ teammate Travis Kelce since last season, was a fan of his last game last season. Interview with Chris Simms on NBC, and the team “may have to add a player.”
