patrick mahomes Despite being under constant pressure, he has held his own so far this season. It’s a performance that has impressed another multiple-time NFL MVP.

In a dramatic 26-25 win over the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, Mahomes led the Chiefs on another game-winning drive with tight end Travis Kelce. But for the second consecutive game, his Partners sit separately,

Mahomes’ wife, Brittany, posted multiple photos on her Instagram Stories showing her with their two children. Meanwhile, Kelce’s girlfriend, Taylor Swift, was shown multiple times on the CBS broadcast celebrating the Chiefs in her booth.

This was the Chiefs’ first game since former President Trump sent out a post on Truth Social that read, “I hate Taylor Swift!” after the pop star endorsed VP Harris for president. Britney has been linked to multiple displays of support for Trump on social media and even earned praise from the former president during an interview on “The New York Times.”Fox and Friends” last week. In that interview, Trump said he liked Brittany Mahomes more than Swift after the endorsement. She has faced heavy criticism on social media in recent weeks due to her interactions with Trump, much of it from Swift’s fans.

But the quarterback praised Trump’s influence in the community when asked about comments he made about his wife at a press conference last week. Mahomes also claimed he would not make any political endorsements himself. Still, he encouraged Americans to vote.

Three-time NFL MVP and Pro Football Hall of Famer Brett Favre praised Mahomes for this stance, while also criticizing Swift for supporting Harris.

“That’s a good idea Mahomes – I see too many celebs trying to influence their audience instead of letting people think for themselves. If the best choice for them isn’t obvious and they’re easily influenced by their favorite pop artist, that’s not a good thing,” Favre wrote in a post on X in response to an Outkick video of Mahomes’ comments.

Favre himself did not take this route in the recent presidential election. The Hall of Fame quarterback endorsed Trump in a post on X on October 30, 2020, citing his stances on issues of freedom of speech, gun rights, and support for the military and police.

Favre wrote, “My vote is for the things that make this country great, freedom of speech and religion, the Second Amendment, hard working taxpayer citizens, police and military. In this election, we have the freedom to choose, which must be respected by all. For me and these principles, my vote is for (Donald Trump).”

Favre made this endorsement despite the fact that he has stated on numerous occasions that he believes sports are becoming “too political”.

Like Brittany Mahomes, Favre has also faced criticism for his political beliefs. In late 2020 and early 2021, Favre co-hosted a podcast called “Bolling with Favre” with TV personality Eric Bolling. Favre sparked criticism with comments on a number of topics, including NFL players kneeling for the national anthem and his desire to keep transgender people out of women’s sports.

After Derek Chauvin, the police officer responsible for George Floyd’s death, was sentenced to prison, Favre said on a podcast that he “finds it hard to believe” that Chauvin intended to kill George Floyd. These comments drew sharp criticism from current NFL players, including former Pro Bowl wide receiver Steve Smith and fellow former NFL wide receiver Torrey Smith.

The podcast was discontinued in June 2021.

Mahomes hasn’t courted any of the same controversies in his young career as Favre. However, he is helping him deal with the criticism he received over his pro-Trump outing last month, according to his wife.

In a recent episode “Whoop” PodcastBritney said she has relied on her three-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback husband to get her through the recent public scrutiny.

“Having them help me get through this has been a huge help because they’re really good at managing these things and keeping people out and all that kind of stuff,” he said. “Having them with me and guiding me has been a huge help to me. I think that’s what got us to where we are now.”

She said her husband helped her develop an attitude of “not caring about anything.”

“I think what they’ve always said to me is, ‘Stop caring what people think, especially people that don’t even know you,’” she said. “And so I think social media used to be very appealing to me, and now it’s like I honestly don’t care what people say about me.

“And I think she’s helped me get to a point where I’m strong in who I am, I’m confident in who I am, and I’m confident in myself and her relationship — and I’m confident in my life. So, why does it matter what other people say?”

Brittany and Patrick were born and raised in East Texas. They began dating when they attended Whitehouse High School in Whitehouse, Texas, when Patrick was the school’s quarterback and Brittany played soccer. According to Data USA, Whitehouse is a city with a population of about 8,500 and has a history of voting Republican.

Meanwhile, Swift has supported Democratic candidates since 2018, when she endorsed Democratic candidates Phil Bredesen and Jim Cooper in the 2018 US midterm elections in Tennessee.

He then endorsed Joe Biden for president in 2020, and his endorsement of Harris on Tuesday arguably had more impact. It’s his first presidential endorsement since his surge in popularity from the Eras Tour and his public relationship with Kelsea.

Swift and Britney were seen in the same room at most Chiefs games last year, with Swift often being the focal point of NFL broadcasts multiple times per game. This has yet to happen at any Chiefs home games.

Britney and Swift were recently spotted cuddling together when she and Mahomes and Kelce went to watch the U.S. Open men’s singles final on Sept. 8.

Swift did, however, go to the quarterback’s birthday party on Monday. Swift appeared in photos with Mecole Hardman’s fiancée, Charia Gordon, and Chris Jones’ wife, Scheana Weathersby. Gordon posted photos from a photobooth that was apparently set up for the party. Other than that, Swift remained quiet as the focus shifted to the three-time Super Bowl winner. Swift and Brittany Mahomes were not seen together in any of the photos. It has not been confirmed if they interacted at the event.

The Chiefs’ next game is Sunday night in Atlanta against the Falcons, but they won’t return to Arrowhead Stadium until Oct. 7 against the New Orleans Saints, with the election less than a month away.
