Vice President Kamala Harris continues her re-election campaign, but a series of “word salad” interviews has some pundits skeptical about whether she will be able to sway undecided voters. Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich has warned “Hannity” Tuesday He added that the new interviews have become a “joke”, emphasizing the “insanity” of Harris’s position on the Israel–Hamas war.

The Harris campaign has promised more media interviews as voters still have questions about her policies

Newt Gingrich: The American people are not stupid. For example, in recent interviews with undecided voters, they believe she is much more radical than Donald Trump. … They identify her so much with Biden and the Biden administration, that they think she is the candidate of the past and Trump is the candidate of change, by a ratio of about three and a half to one. Americans want change in existing policies, not continuity. Part of it may be psychological and she may not be able to articulate a clear, coherent policy position. But for whatever reason, the more of these word salads we find, the more obvious it is that she either doesn’t know what she’s saying or she can’t articulate it, or she’s trying to hide. All of these things hurt her. This interview today did not help her at all. Interview in Philadelphia The incident became a joke on the local TV station. I mean, people thought it was ridiculous.

If you watch her carefully, you will find that she repeats the same things over and over again. The things she has memorized have nothing to do with the real world. And I would like to especially point out one point: This interview, She says we have to have a ceasefire in Gaza and release the hostages. Now, there are two problems. The first is that she’s the vice president. She had 11 months to reach this ceasefire. 11 months. They got nowhere. There’s no reason to believe she would have gotten anywhere if she were president. Why? Because the founding constitution of Hamas says not a single Jew will survive. And when people chant ‘From the river to the sea,’ they’re chanting genocide, just like the Nazi Germans were chanting about the Jews in Europe. These college students need to understand that. That’s a genocidal quote that means that Hamas means to either genocide or expel every single Jew in Israel. So her fantasy that somehow she’s going to sit down with Hamas, talk to them in a rational way, get them to agree to something reasonable, is crazy. It’s completely out of touch with the real world.

Harris has given several “word salad” interviews during her tenure. Though her campaign has made few media appearances, on Tuesday she gave her first solo interview with national media.

Harris said Addressing the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) in Philadelphia, nearly a month after former President Trump addressed the same group and caused a stir by questioning Harris’ race.

In addition to race-focused topics in the interview, Harris also made comments about her economic plan, abortion, support for Israel, and gun control.

Later, the moderators noticed that Second assassination attempt A report on Trump’s life over the weekend. Harris indicated that she had spoken to Trump and checked on him.

Harris was asked a follow-up question about her confidence in the Secret Service to protect her, to which Harris answered in the affirmative.

“Not everybody has Secret Service. And there are a lot of people in our country right now who don’t feel safe,” he said. “I mean, I look at Project 2025, and I look at, you know, the Don’t Say Gay law coming out of Florida. Members of the LGBTQ community don’t feel safe right now, immigrants or people with immigrant backgrounds don’t feel safe right now. Women don’t feel safe right now. And so, yes, I feel safe. I have Secret Service protection, but that doesn’t change my perspective on the importance of fighting for the safety of everyone in our country.”
