donald trump: The former president and current Republican presidential candidate got a taste of SEC football in Alabama vs. Georgia on Saturday night. Trump was welcomed with “USA” chants and talked to outkick’s clay travis About their experience at the stadium, among other things.

unlv: After quarterback Matthew Sluka decided to leave the Rebels football program after a dispute over zero money, UNLV did not lose a step on offense. Haj-Malik Williams had a great game, helping the Rebels destroy Fresno State on Saturday afternoon. It looks like UNLV has moved on, and they’ve got themselves a QB who is ready to carry them the rest of the way.

Indiana: Head coach Curt Cignetti’s team is now 5-0 on the season after defeating Maryland 42-28 on Saturday. The Hoosiers have a big chance to remain undefeated before next month’s matchup with Ohio State. Indiana’s offense is bursting at the seams, outscoring opponents by nearly 27 points per game. Be careful, this team could cause some problems in the Big Ten for the rest of the season.

alabama: What can you say about Saturday’s game against Georgia that hasn’t been mentioned several times already? Jalen Miller punished the Bulldog defense in the first half and threw a touchdown pass to Ryan Williams at the end of the game, which turned out to be the game-winning score. It was a big win for Kellen DeBoer as he led Alabama to another win over Georgia with Nick Saban watching from the sidelines. If they play like this, the Crimson Tide will make a run at the College Football Playoff in December.

monmouth: The Hawks are back on the winless list for the second straight week after defeating the Fordham Rams 63-21. Saturday’s win marked Monmouth’s third consecutive win and set a program record for points scored in a half (49), topping the previous record set in 2005. It also set a program record for points scored in a quarter (35), surpassing the previous mark. Established in 1998. Running back Son Ntoh led the attack with 136 rushing yards and five touchdowns. The Hawks have now scored at least 42 points in their last seven wins.

Notre Dame: Just when everyone thought their CFP hopes were over due to a tough loss against Northern Illinois, they are pulling themselves back together after yesterday’s win against No. 15 Louisville. They probably aren’t a threat, but maybe they can win out and get into a playoff game.

travis hunter caught the ball

travis hunter: Hunter has become a legitimate Heisman candidate as he has helped Colorado get off to a surprising 4-1 start, and Deion Sanders and company are proving they can compete for an expanded playoff spot. There is no player in college football, and really not even in the NFL, who provides the impact that Hunter does. It is more appropriate to compare his impact to Shohei Ohtani than any other active football player, college or professional.

boise state: With a dominant win over undefeated Washington State, Boise State proved it belongs in the AP Top 25, and looks to remain there for at least the next two games with winnable matchups against Utah State and Hawaii. There is a possibility. Then he has another game to prove against UNLV. Running back Ashton Jeanty has four career games with over 200 yards rushing, tying the Boise State school record. Jeanty currently leads the nation in rushing yards per game with an average of 195.33.

Ryan Williams: If you don’t know about the 17-year-old phenom for the Crimson Tide entering this weekend, there’s no way you haven’t heard his name based on what he was able to do in the win over Georgia. Williams is simply a star, catching just six passes for 1,777 yards and one touchdown, a score that included an acrobatic catch followed by a nifty spin move that saw two Bulldogs defenders beat each other down as he went right. Was going down from side to side. He’s not even 18 years old, but Williams is making noise as a true freshman star as he leads the nation in yards per reception (28.9).

kentucky: Perhaps the biggest upset of the week was the Wildcats defeating No. 5 Ole Miss, and this came after being defeated by South Carolina and losing to Georgia two weeks prior. The 20-17 came after Kentucky advanced 83 yards, leaving them trailing 17-13 in just six plays. Then, the Wildcats were able to put a big stop to Jackson Dart’s attack with rebounds. This is the win the Wildcats need, as they have a tough schedule with Vanderbilt, Florida and Auburn heading into next month’s schedule at the No. 1 offense in the country, Tennessee.

Jalen Miller: Kirk Herbstreit said it best during the Alabama-Georgia broadcast: There are SEC-caliber players on the field, and the Crimson Tide quarterback was just running his way and throwing to them. Milroy is the frontrunner for the Heisman Trophy and it showed what he was ultimately capable of doing against the Bulldogs. He threw for 374 yards, ran for 117 yards and accounted for four total touchdowns against a team that had not allowed a single touchdown for three weeks to start the season. Because of his efforts, the Crimson Tide is now ranked No. 1. AP top 25 ranked team.

Tim Walz in Michigan

Tim Walz: The Minnesota governor and half of the Harris-Walz ticket celebrated Michigan’s win over Minnesota over the weekend. Unfortunately, the Golden Gophers could not pull out a disappointing win. But to add insult to injury, Walz was humiliated By some fans in the stadium. He shared a suite with Beto O’Rourke.

replay officials: How replay review overturned Virginia Tech’s walk-off Hail Mary touchdown is pretty incredible. It took a very long time to make the call on the field (Miami started celebrating and then had to stop), and almost everyone was surprised at the final decision. An incredible moment in college football was taken away from us.

ucf: All the excitement coming into the game against Colorado was gone by halftime. Gus Malzahn’s offense broke down, and Chedure Sanders and Travis Hunter took full advantage of the Knights’ offense breaking down. Additionally, Travis Hunter should be in the Heisman Trophy conversation, but that’s a story for another day.

ole miss: So much for eliminating competitive competition. Kentucky stormed into Oxford and broke the hearts of Rebel fans along with head coach Lane Kiffin. The loss to the Wildcats doesn’t hurt the Rebels’ playoff chances, but if they continue to play like this, they’ll have to suffer a few more losses before the regular season ends. Good day for Kentucky, but worst day for Ole Miss.

hue freez: Auburn is in free fall after once again losing, this time to Oklahoma in Michael Hawkins Jr.’s first start at quarterback since replacing Jackson Arnold. The Sooners trailed 21–10 in the fourth quarter, but forced some turnovers with Peyton Thorne’s pick-six. Now the Tigers are in trouble, and I don’t know how they will recover. It was another bad look for the Tigers, especially since Oklahoma was without five wide receivers. Conditions are getting worse for the plains and hue freezes.

Florida State: A week away from their first win of the season, the Seminoles were back in the loss column after a brutal 42–16 loss to SMU. Florida State opened the preseason in the top 10, but after Saturday, the Seminoles hardly look like contenders in the ACC. For the third time in coach Mike Norvell’s five seasons, Florida State has lost three of its first four games.

carson beck: Sure, Beck piled up 400 yards, but that’s hugely skewed by the fact he trailed in the entire game (339 in the second half). You can’t turn the ball over four times against Alabama and expect to win. These are the big games where draft stock goes up and down, especially for someone like Beck who could be one of the first-round talents in next year’s draft class. But this game isn’t going to add to the highlight tape, as Beck was not at his best game.

Washington: For years, Rutgers has been the Big Ten’s “pledge” program, one of the conference’s recent additions, paying its dues with a low revenue share, outscoring opponents and a basement-dwelling record. Is. But now, Washington is a newcomer to the Big 10 and, even though it is the national runner-up, losing its first conference game against a historically weak program like Rutgers is embarrassing for first-year head coach Jed Fish and not for the program’s future in the conference. Set a promising tone about.

North Carolina: Mack Brown is officially on the hot seat, as the Tar Heels were unable to defeat rival Duke after being demolished by James Madison a week ago. This time it was a much closer game, but UNC ended up losing 21–20. When you have to respond to rumors that you are stepping down after a setback, things are definitely not going well. If things don’t go his way soon, Brown could lead the Tar Heels in his last season.

payton thorne: The Tigers had all the momentum at home against the Oklahoma Sooners, but everything changed in the fourth quarter when Thorne, the nation’s leader in interceptions, threw a pick-six that turned the game. Thorn, a fifth-year senior, has six interceptions for 10 touchdowns through four games and the Tigers are now 2-3 and 0-2 in conference play and Georgia looking for the perfect game this week against Auburn. Things are not looking good for the Thorns and Tigers right now
