CBS News is the latest network to step into the spotlight as it prepares to host the vice-presidential debate between senators. JD VanceR-Ohio, and Democratic Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz.

CBS News admits editing Harris’ unpleasant interview exchange

In September 2023, CBS News was caught editing out an unpleasant exchange between Harris and Brennan during an interview.

In a preview clip aired on “CBS Mornings”, Brennan was seen asking Harris, her then-elderly partner, about age being a factor in the upcoming election.

“You’re 58 years old right now. If you win a second term, as you and the president are racing to win, he’ll be 86 at the end of it,” Brennan said as the camera immediately captured Harris’s facial expression. Said before biting.

Trump ‘not lowering the temperature’ after assassination attempt

Both Brennan and O’Donnell appeared to chastise Trump after the July assassination attempt, suggesting that his own rhetoric led to the fatal shooting in Butler, PA.

“He is now recovering from these injuries, this was a traumatic event for him, there’s no doubt about that,” Brennan said during CBS News’ breaking news coverage after Trump released a statement on social media. “But I saw that there was no effort to lower the temperature, to condemn all political violence, and to really signal to his supporters not to retaliate here or do any kind of escalation.”

Last month, Brennan turned to Harris when Trump began accusing her Democratic rival of being a “communist.”

“And a new line of false attacks on Vice President Harris,” Brennan told the audience in her “Face the Nation” introduction before playing a clip of Trump saying, “Kamala went full-on communist.”

“We’ll tell you why it’s wrong,” Brennan said.

Brennan confronts Vance during interview
