Rahul Gandhi highlights understanding between pre-poll and post-poll during rally in Sonipat BJP And small parties in Haryana. He said that these small parties are B, C and D teams of BJP and the fight in the assembly elections is between BJP and Congress. He emphasized that the fight is to protect the Constitution of Dr. Ambedkar and Mahatma Gandhi.
The senior Congress leader highlighted that whatever the Dalits, backward classes and the poor have achieved in India is because of the Constitution. The Constitution says that all citizens of India are equal. However, Prime Minister Narendra Modi waives off loans worth crores of rupees of billionaires, helps them and passes three black farm laws to benefit Adani. Yet, he neither waives off loans nor provides employment to the poor, women and farmers. He said, this is an attack on the Constitution. The RSS fills the institutions with its people, while the poor and the marginalized are denied opportunities. This is also an attack on the Constitution and BJP wants to destroy it. Congress leaders will protect the Constitution, even if it means losing their lives.
Rahul Gandhi further said that the entire country knows that the BJP governments in India and Haryana are running to benefit 2-3 billionaires. The result was that all avenues of employment in Haryana were closed and small and medium businesses were closed. Public factories have been privatized. Due to the Agniveer scheme launched by Narendra Modi, the youth of Haryana who used to join the army, their path has also been closed. He described the Agniveer scheme as a way to steal pensions, canteen privileges and martyr status from Indian soldiers.
Talking about the unity of Congress, Rahul Gandhi said that while lions live alone in the jungle, the Congress party is different – it is a party where all the lions (workers) stand together. His job, he said, is to bring all these lions together.
He further said that today all the wealth in India is going into the hands of a few billionaires. Meanwhile, prices of essential commodities like petrol, diesel and onion are being increased, taking money out of the pockets of common people. If Modi gives one rupee to Adani and Ambani, Congress will give the same amount to farmers, poor and women. He also expressed concern over the increasing drug problem.
The senior Congress leader said that people in Haryana are getting ransom calls because the BJP government has spread the trap of unemployment. Haryana has now reached the top position in both unemployment and crime. He also criticized the BJP government for introducing Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP), saying it is used to harass every family in the state. Under the guise of this card, people are being deprived of government schemes. Rahul Gandhi promised that the Parivar Pehchan Card will be abolished as soon as the Congress government is formed in Haryana.
Rahul Gandhi appealed to the public to vote for Congress candidates in large numbers and also underlined the guarantees of Congress. He promised that if Congress came to power in Haryana, women would get Rs 2000 per month and gas cylinders would be provided for Rs 500. The monthly pension for the elderly, disabled and widows will be increased to ₹6000. The old pension scheme for government employees will be reinstated. Haryana will be made drug free and 300 units of electricity will be given free of cost. On the lines of Rajasthan’s Chiranjeevi Scheme, free treatment up to Rs 25 lakh will be available. Poor families will get plots of 100 yards and a two-room house will be built at a cost of Rs 3.5 lakh. Farmers will be given legal guarantee of Minimum Support Price (MSP). To ensure that backward communities get their due share, a caste-based survey will be conducted.
