Phoenix, Ariz. – Arizona GOP Senate candidates Kari Lake He told Fox News Digital that illegal immigration has disproportionately affected his state’s residents, which he said would create a “double whammy” that would result in a GOP victory in the state in November.
“I think most Americans feel they’ve pushed us right over the edge, over the cliff,” Lake told Fox News Digital about the Biden-Harris administration’s policies. “And we’re hoping we can get it back in November and that’s what we plan to do. But our polling shows that the economy is really hurting everybody. The border is hurting everybody.” Still working.”
Lake explained to Fox News Digital that the current administration’s border policies have disproportionately harmed Arizona, particularly in terms of housing costs.
,It’s basic supply and demand,” Lake said. “With 21 million people coming in, even if you see the projections that Joe Biden and Kamala are giving, which is 10 million, they’re going to have to live somewhere. They are living in houses, apartments, and hotels, and they are taking away housing opportunities for Americans and driving up prices. Because right now, when you have a very limited supply of housing, which we do, we have not built enough houses and apartments over the last 20 years to meet the demand. So now suddenly, you add 21 million people, you have a supply and demand issue. You find that you don’t have enough supply and your demand is too high.,

Lake continued, “We know that these people who are coming into our country illegally, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are holding hands and saying, yes, please come in and we can get you housing, federal subsidies. They’ll supply the housing, which means you and I are paying for it, and we’ll give you an ID card with thousands of dollars per month to pay for it. They don’t have the living expenses like the Americans. Expenses have gone up so they can take these jobs at lower wages than the going rate, which takes Americans’ salaries and hourly wages and depresses or pushes them down, so it’s a double whammy and it really hurts Arizona. Particularly affecting.
On inflation, Lake pointed showing data Phoenix was once the most affected city in the country.
,“I talk to more Arizonans than anyone else in the entire country,” Lake told Fox News Digital. “I think my relationship with the people of Arizona is better than anyone else in the country and those conflicts.
