“America’s Got Talent” judges Howie MondayI’m explaining the circumstances behind the bloody death of my wife, Terri, in Las Vegas.

The 68-year-old TV personality previously told how he found his wife of 40 years covered in blood after she collapsed in their hotel room following a “drunken” night in Sin City. TMZ LiveMandel has opened up about which mind-altering substance caused his wife’s accident at Fontainebleau Las Vegas.

“First of all, she was not drunk,” he said. “She’s very concerned that people are going to intervene in her alcohol problem. She does not have an alcohol problem. I’ll tell you the truth. She took gummies.”

“She did take gummies,” Mandel insisted. “So it’s not an alcohol problem. She was smoking marijuana.”

the former “Deal or No Deal” Host He said when he previously told the story of Terry’s fall, people jumped to conclusions.

“I said we had a great night and we were a little drunk,” Mandel recalled.

While people assumed the term “drunk” meant drinking too much alcohol, Terry’s intoxicated state was actually due to eating edibles.

Mandel recounted the horrifying incident while speaking with TMZ Live hosts Harvey Levin and Charles Latibeaudiere.

“She got out of bed in the middle of the night and collapsed,” he said. “And it was really scary. I put her on the bed and tried to give her ice, but I didn’t have any ice, so I gave her soda cans to put on her head.”

However, Mandel said that at that point Terry was not receptive to his efforts and began throwing soda cans away from his head.

“He threw them across the room and I went and got another can of soda, because I didn’t know it was that cut up,” he said. “And he threw it across the room.”

Mandell realized the severity of Terry’s injuries when he saw that his skull was split open.

“I finally saw the bone,” he said. “I could see the bone.”

“So I called the front desk and told them, ‘I need to call 911.’ He said, ‘What happened?’ ‘I don’t know. I don’t know, but there’s blood everywhere.’ He said, ‘We’re sending security. They’re sending security. My wife is lying on the bed. There’s blood everywhere. There’s coke cans all over the room.'”

Mandel said hotel security guards initially suspected domestic violence when they stumbled upon the scene.

“They’ve got me up against the TV,” he recalled. “My wife’s bed is all covered in blood. There are cans thrown all over the room.”

Mandel said he was disappointed when Terry accidentally fueled suspicion.

“They asked me to leave the room and asked her, ‘What happened?’ And she kept saying, ‘I don’t know.’ And I said, ‘Don’t say you don’t know!’”

Mandel said, “She said, ‘He tried to put them on my head.’” “No, no, no!”

“It just got worse and worse,” he added. “And then she started laughing because she realized. She realized where this was going. I didn’t even think it was going that way, until they came into the other room and they started questioning me and I said, ‘His head is open. You have to put him on a gurney and take him somewhere because I’m worried.'”

Eventually, Mandel and Terry were able to solve the case. However, he said that Terry, whom he described as having a “terrific sense of humor”, did not stop teasing him about the suspicion even after he returned from the hospital.

“We got back to the hotel and she was opening the door to the room,” Mandel recalled. “We were walking back to the room. Another couple was coming out and going out to breakfast, and she says, ‘Howie, I promise I’ll be a good girl.'”

“No, it’s not funny! It’s not funny,” Mandel said.

Latibeaudiere said people should be cautious when going into dark hotel rooms after partying.

“I think the lesson here is — and everyone does this, and especially in Vegas — if you’re drinking or smoking or taking gummies, you wake up in the middle of the night and you think you can walk across the room without turning on the lights. No, turn on the lights,” Latibeaudiere said.

“No, I think it boils down to this that marriage is not easy,” Mandel said, while Levine and Latibeaudiere laughed.

Mandel first told the story of Terry’s accident Monday in “Live with Kelly and Mark.”

comedian assured the hosts that Terri is on the verge of recovery. “She’s absolutely fine,” he said. “There’s no scar on her. She’s beautiful.”
