Anti-Trump people, Democrats too are questioning Biden’s mental ability

Republicans and supporters of former President Trump aren’t the only ones who have questioned this. President Biden’s mental health Anti-Trump pundits, mainstream news organizations and longtime Democrats have also expressed their concerns about the position in recent months.

Billionaire Bill Ackman, a longtime donor to the Democratic Party, recently highlighted a video in which former President Obama is seen guiding Biden off the stage at a recent campaign donor event.

“Some people are old at 81 and others are bright, vibrant and influential. Compare Warren Buffett at 93 and Biden at 81. Biden is an 81-year-old who can’t find his way off stage or stay present and focused at a G7 summit. Are these the people who should be the leaders of the free world for the next five years? A president should not be led off stage by the arm or with his arm around someone’s neck. That’s not the image of strength and leadership we need as a country,” Ackman Posted on X on Sunday.

“Look at what’s going on in the world. The perception of weak leadership in the United States has led to global chaos. The reality of weak leadership is a serious and continuing long-term threat to our country. The Democratic Party is destroying itself by advancing Biden to a second term,” Ackman continued. “This is the Emperor’s New Clothes in real life. But this isn’t a children’s book or a joke. The world is at great risk, and a second term for Biden is a grave threat to global security and prosperity.”

“Biden is unfit to be president right now, and undoubtedly unfit to serve another term,” Ackman said.

On Monday’s “Piers Morgan Uncensored” program, progressive journalist Cenk Uygur criticized Democrats for not recognizing Biden’s mental fitness issues, saying, “We all have eyes and ears.”

“That man’s in a very bad condition, and if he has dementia, they become even more stubborn,” he said. “What if he reinforces himself even more, and says, ‘I don’t care,’ and his brain actually becomes affected by the diseases we’re seeing with our own eyes?”

He said both Biden and Trump are “idiots.”

The Biden White House has been aggressive against reports of the president’s mental decline.

He was described as an “elderly man with a failing memory” in a Justice Department special counsel report in February, which concluded an investigation into his handling of classified documents during his time in the Senate. eventually helped save him to avoid having charges brought against him by special counsel Robert Hur.

Citing interviews with 45 people over several months, the Wall Street Journal reported earlier this month that congressional leaders and others who have met Joe Biden have noticed that he “seems slower now” and is “the kind of person who has both good and bad moments.”

The Journal’s report sparked a furious response from the White House and its allies, who dismissed it as a GOP-led hit piece, just as Hur’s claims were largely dismissed by left-wing Biden supporters. Republicans aren’t the only ones making such claims, however.

At 81, Biden is the oldest president to serve, and his critics say his age has left him cognitively behind. He is prone to making mistakes and apparently losing his memory, and if re-elected in November, he will be 86 by the time his second term ends.

Liberal comedian Jon Stewart, a frequent critic of presumptive Republican nominee Trump, recently said Biden “shouldn’t be president” because he’s “too old,” according to the New York Post.

Mark Cuban, another billionaire and fierce Trump critic, has said that Biden and Trump “will both go through moments of senility, misremembering, forgetting things and being physically weak.”

“The View” co-host Sara Haines argued in February that it wasn’t fair to ask voters to “close their eyes” to concerns about age and vitality.

“Voters are worried, and by telling them they shouldn’t be worried, or that they’re listening to the Republican narrative and following it, you’re literally saying, ‘Close your eyes to what you’re seeing,’ or you’re making them feel bad for raising something … I don’t think it’s fair to tell them to close their eyes to what they’re seeing right now,” Haynes said.

Co-host Alyssa Farrah Griffin, who worked for Trump but is now a fierce critic, argued that Hur’s report and Biden’s subsequent fiery press conference in February showed that Democrats needed to pursue another nominee. She also suggested Vice President Kamala Harris could do the job after Hur highlighted Biden’s memory lapses.

Liberal comedian Bill Maher There have been multiple calls for Democrats to put Biden on the bench ahead of the 2024 election, with “Ruth Bader Biden” merchandise even being sold featuring Biden dressed as the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

Ginsburg decided not to step down during Obama’s presidency, which later led to her stepping down. trump After his death, Justice Amy Coney Barrett will be appointed to replace him in 2020.

“He would be the Ruth Bader Biden, the Ruth Bader Ginsburg of the presidency,” Maher told Democratic strategist James Carville last year. “That’s not a good thing.”

Earlier this year, Maher called on Biden to embrace his age and stop trying to “deny the age thing.”

“Bend over, bend over like you’re eating soup,” Maher said. “And just admit it! Say, ‘Yes, I’m bad at taking names and I walk like a baby with a diaper full, but I believe in democracy.'”

media mogul Charlamagne the God also said that Biden “doesn’t seem to be completely fired up,” despite what his supporters say.

Republicans say Biden’s State of the Union speech reinforced mental acuity and age-related concerns

Even reliable liberal news outlets have highlighted Biden’s age and mental acuity issues.

The New York Times recently Published a story In this, many former Biden supporters are saying that cognitive problems are the reason why they are planning to vote for Trump this time.

Mark Lebovich of The Atlantic The alternative is to see Biden win again, but in an essay titled “Ruth Bader Biden,” he wrote that Biden’s candidacy remains “an existentially risky, perhaps disastrous, proposition.”

“No matter what obstacles Trump creates for himself, Biden remains completely vulnerable, burdened with the same obligations he had from the start, the greatest and most irreparable of all: At 81, he is too old to run for president,” he wrote.
