Harris Campaign Responding to the revelation by federal agencies that individuals associated with the Biden campaign were targeted with emails containing stolen Trump campaign materials by Iranian actors, he said he was not aware of any material sent “directly” to the Biden campaign but that some people had received the emails on their personal accounts.
“We have cooperated with appropriate law enforcement authorities as we became aware that individuals associated with the then-Biden campaign were among the victims of this foreign influence campaign,” Morgan Finkelstein, a spokesperson for the Harris-Walz campaign, said in a statement.
“We are not aware of any material being sent directly to the campaign; some individuals were targeted via their personal emails with what appeared to be spam or a phishing attempt,” Finkelstein said. “We strongly condemn any effort by foreign actors to interfere in U.S. elections, including this unwelcome and unacceptable malicious activity.”
In a joint statement released on Wednesday, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), the FBI, and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) said, “Iranian Malicious Cyber Actors “In late June and early July, unsolicited emails were sent to individuals associated with President Biden’s campaign that included excerpts of stolen, non-public material from former President Trump’s campaign as text within the emails.”

“There is currently no information to indicate that those recipients have responded,” the statement added. “In addition, Iranian malicious cyber actors have continued their efforts to send stolen, non-public material associated with former President Trump’s campaign to U.S. media organizations since June.”
The agencies said such “malicious cyber activity” is the latest example of Iran’s multi-pronged approach aimed “at sowing discord and undermining confidence in our electoral process.”
“As the lead for the threat response, the FBI is monitoring this activity, is in contact with victims, and will continue to investigate and gather information to pursue and stop those responsible for the threat,” the statement said. “Foreign actors are increasing their election-influencing activities as November approaches. In particular, Russia, Iran, and China are all trying to some extent Widening divisions in American society They fight elections for their own benefit and see election time as a moment of weakness.”
Trump campaign spokeswoman Carolyn Levitt said the developments were “proof that the Iranians are actively interfering in the election to help Kamala Harris and Joe Biden, because they know President Trump will reinstate their draconian sanctions and stand up to their reign of terror.”

“Kamala and Biden must clarify whether they used hacked material provided by the Iranians to harm President Trump. What did they know, and when did they know it?” he said in a statement.
A Harris campaign official told Fox News Digital that “the material was not used.”

Federal authorities said they have foiled Iranian assassination plots against American politicians in recent months. Along with Trump, US officials say President Biden and Nikki Haley were also targets. Earlier this week, a Pakistani man with deep ties to Iran was arraigned in Brooklyn federal court on charges that he paid undercover agents to carry out killings this summer.

In the space of two months, Trump has faced two assassination attempts – at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, and while golfing at his course. West Palm Beach, FloridaHowever, officials have not publicly linked any plot to Iran.
