According to court documents obtained by Fox News Digital, Cyrus, 62, filed an emergency petition for a temporary restraining order on June 13, claiming 37 unauthorized charges were made on her business American Express card by Firerose, legally known as Johanna Hodges.

“As a result of these fraudulent charges … I am concerned that Ms. Hodges has other information that she may use to make fraudulent, unauthorized charges to my business and personal credit cards and accounts,” Cyrus’ filing states.

A rep for Cyrus had no comment when contacted by Fox News Digital.

Firerose claimed in a response filed with the court and obtained by Fox News Digital that there was “no emergency.” The singer said she has access to the American Express card related to 2022.

“The wife’s claim that she made 37 unauthorized allegations is false,” her lawyers wrote in the filing. “During the divorce proceedings, the parties must remain in accordance with the status quo during the marriage. The wife will continue to live in the same capacity as she has been living since October 10, 2023, and the husband has no right to sever ties with her.”

Cyrus had previously agreed to provide money to Firerose while the divorce proceedings were ongoing.

In the order filed on May 24, the “Achy Breaky Heart” singer specifically agreed to pay $500 per night for a period of 10 nights so that Firerose “can stay at a hotel or Airbnb.”

Additionally, Cyrus agreed to pay Firerose $5,000 per month to spend on “suitable” housing “for a period of 90 days or until the divorce is final, whichever comes first.”

According to documents obtained by Fox News Digital, Cyrus filed for divorce against the Australian singer in May, citing “irreconcilable differences” and accusing him of “improper marital conduct.”

The grounds for annulment of the marriage were listed as “consent to the marriage was obtained by fraud.” Their date of separation was listed as May 22, 2024, the documents said.

“The husband alleges that since he had consented to the marriage on the basis of the deception of his wife, he is entitled to get the marriage annulled. Had he known about this, he would never have entered into the wedlock with his wife,” the petition said.

Cyrus now believes that Firerose “is not the person he thought he married.”

“She believes he married her for a reason other than love,” a source told People magazine. “She believes he married her so she could take care of him financially. There has been a lot of drama and trust issues between them over money.”

“He wants her out of his life,” the source said. “They have a pre-nup. He’s disappointed right now, but he’ll definitely get over it soon. He’s a very positive person.”

FireRose and Cyrus got married at the musician’s Tennessee property in October.

“10/10/23 will always be a beautiful, joyous day when our two souls became one in holy matrimony,” they shared on social media at the time. “It was the most perfect, supernatural celebration of love we could have ever imagined.”
