Billy Ray Cyrus claims that estranged wife According to a new court filing obtained by Fox News Digital, FireRose, whose real name is Johanna Rosie Hodges, “physically”, “verbally and emotionally” abused her during their seven-month marriage.

The country star also denied Firerose’s allegations, which she made in a counter-suit, that Firerose abused her.

“While Plaintiff will admit that he was certainly vocal, frustrated, and angry at Defendant in May 2024, in fact Plaintiff has been abused,” the documents filed Monday in a Tennessee court say. “Not only verbally and emotionally abused by Defendant, but also physically abused by Defendant.”

The filing also claims that Firerose had accused him of abuse in previous filings, “only to sensationalize her false complaints by using the word ‘abuse’.”

The “Achy Breaky Heart” singer repeatedly said he “strongly” denied all allegations of abuse filed by his estranged wife.

Cyrus filed for an annulment of their marriage in May, less than a year after the marriage took place. October wedding, citing “improper marital conduct”.

Cyrus’ team also shared a screenshot of an alleged message sent by Firerose to Cyrus, apologizing for an unknown reason, writing, “I’m so sorry” and “Please give me a chance to make this right. I can explain everything but I need you.”

Also included was a handwritten note that Firerose allegedly left at his home when she filed to end their marriage, in which he asked Firerose to take him back. The note read: “I need you. I love you. I’m so sorry.”

The 62-year-old has claimed he only discovered after the wedding that Hodges wasn’t Firerose’s “maiden name,” accusing her of lying to get him to marry her.

In the revocation filing, Cyrus’ team said: “Throughout the parties’ dating relationship, Defendant repeatedly claimed that her maiden name was ‘Hodges’ and that Defendant had never been married. During this time, Defendant repeatedly claimed that Plaintiff was her spouse, and that Defendant wanted Plaintiff to be her only husband. Accordingly, Plaintiff relied on Defendant and erroneously believed that he was a husband.” Honest Man.,

It states that Firerose married her only “with the intent to induce Plaintiff to marry and take the name ‘Cyrus’ with the belief that this would aid her budding musical career.”

Cyrus said in her filing Monday that she believes “there are other things in her background that she is hiding from him” and claimed he threatened to tell people that she decided to divorce him because he was going to have a double mastectomy, which she denied.

Firerose planned to have a preventive mastectomy because she is a carrier of the BRCA1 gene mutation, which increases her chances of developing breast cancer.

Cyrus’ personal manager, Scott Adkins, signed an affidavit attesting that he witnessed Firerose abuse Cyrus.

“In the course of representing both Mr. Cyrus and Firerose, I have personally observed Firerose speak disrespectfully and behave in an unruly manner toward Mr. Cyrus,” Adkins wrote.

Cyrus said the abuse allegations were “mind-boggling” to her and called it “ridiculous” that they would ever perform together or “connect professionally in any way” in the future.

Firerose’s legal team claimed in their countersuit after Cyrus filed for annulment: “Wife was the victim of extreme verbal, emotional, and psychological abuse. Wife was exposed to Husband’s continued drug use, as well as marijuana use, which caused Husband to be unpredictable and unstable towards Wife.”
