I hope this song will be with people when they wake up in the morning and reset themselves, ready to face the day. That’s what I do. I have busy days, but listening to ‘New Woman’ helps me keep going”, she said. Talking about her audition experience, she said, “When I first auditioned, I had no confidence at all. I doubted if I would be able to do it, so I was even more emotional when I was selected. I feel very honoured to be a part of a show that is watched by a global audience.”
Lisa also recalled how her background in dance influenced her approach, “Since I’ve been dancing since I was a kid, I kept trying to find the rhythm even when I was acting. I would take a beat before reacting to my scene partner’s lines, almost like dancing. When I tried not to follow the rhythm, I suddenly didn’t know where to put my hands, and my body felt awkward. I worked hard with my acting coach to overcome this”.
Looking to the future, Lisa expressed a desire to take on action roles in the future. Despite her huge social media following, she acknowledged the pressures of fame, saying, “However, if I think too deeply about it, I won’t enjoy posting. I try to find a balance between being cautious and having fun. Luckily, my parents are always watching over me”. Recalling her past, Lisa shared advice she wouldn’t give her younger self, explaining, “Not knowing the future is what allows you to work hard. Honestly, it wasn’t such a bad time for me back then. I was happy because I was doing what I loved”.
