Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Betty took it upon herself to remove Pitt from her legal last name.
Shiloh Jolie-Pitt hired her own lawyer and paid for it herself, a source close to the matter told Fox News Digital. According to the insider, the decision to drop Pitt from her last name is tied to an alleged “abuse history” and “violations” of Shiloh’s victims’ rights.
Shiloh filed the paperwork on May 27 — which was the day of her 18th birthday.

Pitt is reportedly “upset” by his daughter’s name change.
“He is aware and upset that Shiloh dropped his last name,” a source told Fox. People magazine. “He’s never been this happy since she was born. He’s always wanted a daughter.”
“It’s not easy for Brad to be reminded of the loss of his children. He loves his kids and misses them. It’s very sad,” the source said.
Pitt’s relationship with his children has reportedly been strained ever since the ‘Bullet Train’ actor and Jolie first began divorce proceedings in 2016. At the time, Jolie cited ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the reason for her split from Pitt and requested sole custody of all six of their children.
In May 2021, a private judge ruled that Pitt and Jolie will share custody of their children 50/50. Pitt and Jolie have six children; Maddox, Zahara, Shiloh, Pax, Knox, and Vivienne.
At least two of Pitt’s other children have also decided to keep their names without Pitt’s last name, though it’s unclear if any have even filed paperwork for a legal name change.
Vivienne Jolie-Pitt was listed simply as “Vivienne Jolie” in the playbill for “The Outsiders,” which Jolie produced.
In a video shared by EssenceZahara Jolie-Pitt was introduced as “Zahra Marley Jolie” as she joined Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. at Spelman College.

Pitt has been accused of abuse Jolie and her children.
According to court documents previously obtained by Fox News Digital, during a fight in 2016, Pitt allegedly “choked one child and punched another in the face” and “grabbed Jolie’s head and shook it.” He then poured “beer and red wine” on Jolie and their six children.
“Some of the children begged Pitt to stop,” according to documents filed in Los Angeles Superior Court. “They were all scared. Many were crying.”
Jolie filed for divorce a few days after the alleged altercation.
A source familiar with the matter previously told Fox News Digital that the claims made by Jolie were false and that the actress “continues to repeat, revise and reimagine her account” of the alleged incident and “adds completely false information each time she fails to get what she wants.”

Most recently, Pitt accused Jolie of intentionally damaging his relationship with their children while the legal battle over Chateau Miraval continues. Pitt sued Jolie for breach of contract after the “Maleficient” actress sold her share of the winery to the Stoli Group.
In court documents previously obtained by Fox News Digital, a former security guard wrote that Jolie allegedly encouraged Pitt’s children to “avoid spending time” with the actor during custody visits.
Tony Webb, who runs the security company employed by the former couple, claimed Jolie’s associate Michael Vieira called him to remind him that two security guards were under NDA and could not testify in the case. Custody battle between Pitt and Jolie.
“During the call, Mr. Vieira told me that he had heard that two contractors who provide personal security for Ms. Jolie through SRS Global might testify in the family court case,” Webb said in court documents. “Mr. Vieira then asked me to prevent these two individuals from testifying.”
