A representative for Applegate confirmed to Fox News Digital that the episode was recorded shortly after Applegate’s appearance at the Emmy Awards in January.

Sigler, who was diagnosed with MS 20 years ago, understood that, but she urged Applegate to look on the bright side.

“Living in a disabled body is very hard. It’s very hard. I’m not going to take that away from you and I’m with you,” she said. “But what makes it even harder is when you compare it to what you were in before. Once we get you to this point where we accept that it’s going to be like this, maybe forever … (living with MS) is not reason enough for you to stop living because I’m sitting here in front of you, and you still make me laugh like nobody else can. You still make me laugh. You make me feel loved.”

Despite her ongoing struggle, Applegate admitted she has avoided seeking therapy out of fear.

“Ever since I found out, I’ve avoided therapy because I’m so afraid of starting to cry and I won’t be able to stop crying,” she said. “I’m just so, I’m so afraid of those floodgates opening and I won’t be able to stop.”

Sigler encouraged her friend to feel those feelings fully.

“You can’t keep pushing it away, otherwise you’ll end up where you are now. You’re in a hellhole, you know?” Sigler said.

She told Sigler she couldn’t sleep because of a mobility problem in one of her eyes.

“I haven’t been able to sleep for 24 hours because my eye is doing something weird where every time I close my eyes to sleep, my right eye starts moving like this,” she said. “I haven’t been able to sleep because every time I close my eyes, my eye starts doing something weird. So I’ve been awake for more than 24 hours.”

During an appearance on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” in 2022, Applegate realized there had been warning signs for several years that she had MS.

“I started thinking about the last four years, and I had very few symptoms,” he said. Applegate said he felt it was important for people to know.

“Let’s not all be hypochondriacs and run to the doctor when our legs get weak,” Applegate said. “But that happened to me about four years ago when we were on set, and I was like, ‘I think I’m tired, you know?’ So it was like a couple of years ago until it got so bad.”
