Removing my thoughtful remarks from the record is against the basic principles of parliamentary democracy,” he said.
Referring to BJP MP Anurag Thakur’s speech in the Lok Sabha, Rahul said, “In this context I would also like to draw attention to the speech of Shri Anurag Thakur, whose speech was full of allegations; however, surprisingly only one word has been deleted! With all due respect to you, this challenges the selective deletion argument. I request that the comments expunged from the proceedings be restored.”

Prime Minister Modi attacked the opposition and said that the biggest setback to the country before 2014 was the loss of confidence among citizens. He said that a feeling of despair has become common, with people often saying that “nothing can happen to this country.”

The Prime Minister also accused Gandhi of trying to garner sympathy in Parliament and urged the Speaker to take a strong stand against the “tradition of lying” inside the House.
PM Modi said, “Without taking seriously what happened yesterday, we will not be able to protect parliamentary democracy. We should not ignore these acts by calling them childish, considering them childish and I am saying this because the intention behind this is not good and I also want to awaken the countrymen.”

Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav said in his debate on the motion of thanks that the 2024 Lok Sabha elections mark the end of communal politics in India, marking a moral victory for the India bloc. “June 4, 2024 was the day of freedom from communal politics for India. Addressing the House, he said, “This election is a new era of positive politics, the pro-Constitution people have won, the Constitution has won. This is the end of top-down politics.”

Modi government has failed to fulfil its promises: Congress MP Pramod Tiwari
Senior Congress leader Pramod Tiwari on Tuesday accused the Narendra Modi government of failing to fulfil its promises on issues like black money, corruption and inflation in the last 10 years. He highlighted these points during the discussion in the Rajya Sabha on the motion of thanks to the President’s address to the joint session of Parliament.
“The prices of many commodities have reached a decade’s high, but President Draupadi Murmu’s speech did not mention this issue,” Tiwari said. “You should ponder over why you could not win more than 400 seats,” Tiwari said, referring to the BJP’s slogan “400 paar” (NDA will win more than 400 seats).
