Democratic congressional candidate Adam Frisch is making this demand along with some other prominent Democrats. President Biden will withdraw He has distanced himself from a 2024 presidential run, arguing that his performance at the CNN presidential debate was likely not his “only bad night.”
Frisch, who is running to flip Colorado’s 3rd Congressional District from red to blue, urged Biden to step down in an interview on “America Reports” on Wednesday, echoing the demands of some others in his party who have come forward to express their concerns about the 81-year-old president’s fitness for office.
He first presented his argument on Tuesday.

“Listen, I think with all due respect that President Biden has been in a one-way, downhill place for months, based on the polls,” Frisch said. “I’m not a doctor. I’m not going to play doctor on TV … (but) what I’m hearing from grassroots Democrats and independents — they don’t like where they see the president going in his ability to articulate a vision for the way forward. That’s where everybody is stuck.”

In a statement released Tuesday, Frisch urged Biden and other Democrats to put politics aside and consider what’s “best for the country” before calling on Biden to “withdraw from the race.”
“Democrats, independents and Republicans are all saying the same thing. It’s time to move on, and we’ve got to figure out how to find someone who’s really up to the job,” he told Fox News’ Aisha Hasni.
He said, “For the last two years I have been saying that a single term of President Biden would be best for the country. Whether that is good for my re-election, or whether my recent comments are bad, I don’t know. I do know that it is good for the country that we try to find someone who has the ability to lead the country strongly for the next four years.”

Frisch’s comment came. After Reuters It was first reported that a group of 25 House Democrats are preparing to ask Biden to step down as the 2024 nominee if he does not address concerns within days that he is not up to the job.

Biden reportedly denied that he was stepping down when he and Vice President Kamala Harris made a surprise appearance on a Democratic National Committee call Wednesday to try to calm allies.
“I’m running. I’m the leader of the Democratic Party. Nobody’s pushing me out,” Biden reportedly said.
In response to Democrats’ concerns, the Biden campaign told Fox News Digital: “He is not giving up the election at all.”
White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre offered the same response during Wednesday’s briefing when asked if Biden was considering stepping down.
When asked Tuesday if the president has Alzheimer’s disease or dementia, he said in part, “No.”
