Chartered Civil Engineer, Architect and LLB After a brief stint as a practicing architect, became a self-made businessman founder of Chairman & Managing Director, Rajendra Jaina Group of Companies (Real Estate Promoters, Developers & Builders), established in 1978. Now he is in ‘Terapanth Niketan’, Flat No. P, FF, Sagar Apartment, 6 Tilak Marg, New Delhi-110001. Passionate actor; writer; singer and theater; producer in music albums and feature films.
His contributions to the profession and the real estate industry have received wide appreciation, admiration and recognition. He has been conferred with several awards by various trade, industry and social bodies.
This includes- Industry Ratan, Industry Business Ratan, Industry Decoration, Social Worker Ratan and prestigious awards Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan “Munshi Memorial Award” After this he received an award in 2007. India Friendship Forum For outstanding services, achievements and contributions Best Businessman of the Year Award from Ekta Mission.
He is a member of trade and professional bodies such as PHD Chambers: Rajdhani Estate Promoters & Builders Association; South Delhi Builders Association; Member of NDTA; President of Sagar Front Block Occupiers Society; President of Jeevan Lal Building Tenants Welfare Association; Member of Motion Picture & TV Programme Producers Association; and IMPA etc.
Association with Rotary

  • Joined Rotary International as charter member of Rotary Club Delhi City in 1978, became President of the Club in 1986-1987 and held various positions in the District and finally elected as DGN in 1990-91.
  • Became the first Paul Harris Fellow with 12 additional Sapphires in Asia Zone-II and presided over the District Conference in 1986-87, as its Chairman organised several programmes like Intercity of Polio Plus, Intercity of Peace through Non-violence, the Chief Guest of which was the President of India, Shri Gyani Zail Singh.
  • Established 4 new clubs; associated with writing and editing of GML in 1987-88 and Club Bulletin Chilman (52 editions each year) for 10 years; first major donor to Rotary District 3010; Chairman of District Family Rotary Committee which organized first Rotary Talent Hunt and eventually conducted 8 Talent Hunts on Rotary platform; provided Rotary Matrimonial Services for five years and also brought out Rotary Yellow Pages Business Directory for the first time in 2006-2007.

He was a member of social philanthropic bodies like Ahimsa International, Rajasthan Club, Anupam Society, ISKCON, DDCA and Chelmsford Club, and has been associated with Rotary International since 1978 and contributed to it to the best of his ability. He was elected District Governor for 1990-91 and was the first major donor to Rotary District 3010.
He has even donated his various properties to the Rotary Foundation in his registered will.
He has written various books in literary poetry and fine arts; has written screenplays, produced and acted in music albums “Aiya-Aiya Suku-Suku”; “One name is Sai Ram” “Naughty @ Forty” ‘Lal Salaam’ and latest feature film ” dead end”, It is going to be released in a few months.

On his 70th birthday, Dr. Engr. Rajinder Jaina was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Film Piracy Eradication Cell for his contribution to the film and music industry.

As a passionate actor, writer, producer and singer in theatre, audio-video albums and feature films, he has received several awards including the Udyog Ratna and Munshi Memorial Award.
An active member of various professional bodies, he joined Rotary International in 1978, became President in 1986-87, and was elected District Governor Nominee for RY in 1990-91. He has also authored more than 10 books; written stories and screenplays for various feature films; written and sang songs and poems and produced music albums and feature films.

Gajendra Chauhan, who played Yudhishthira in the first Mahabharat directed by Ramanand Sagar, participated in a talent hunt organised by Dr. Engr. Rajinder Jaina. Dr. Jaina organised a total of 16 talent hunts in his lifetime, and this was the first such event where Mr. Chauhan was present to motivate the participants.

Dr. Engr. Rajinder Jaina welcomed the then President of India Gyani Zail Singh for the Padyatra for Peace through Non-Violence. Thousands of Rotarians gathered for the Padyatra for Peace from Parliament House to Amar Jawan Jyoti, which culminated at Le Meridien Hotel. The President of India welcomed the delegates at Le Meridien Hotel. The ceremony was presided over by Rakesh Muni Maharaj, disciple of Jain Guru, Annavrata Anushastha Acharya Shri Tulsi.

This photo is also of the charity cricket match organised by Dr. Ir. Jaina. It was the first event organised by any NGO, a unique event, and was telecasted live on Delhi Doordarshan from 10 am to 5 pm. The match was played at the DDCA Ground, and the then Lieutenant Governor of Delhi was the chief guest. Dr. Ir. Jaina served as the chairman and organiser of the event, which brought together popular media personalities of India to raise funds for charitable causes.
From top film stars like Manoj Kumar, Shashi Kapoor, Prem Chopra, Ranjeet, Navin Nischol, Anil Dhawan, Madhuri Dixit, Vyjayanthimala Bali, Poonam Dhillon and Padmini Kolhapuri to respected Members of Parliament like Balram Jakhar, Madhavrao Scindia and Rajesh Pilot, thousands of popular faces graced the event.
Manoj Kumar led the celebrities’ team while Balram Jakhar captained the MPs’ team. Film stars dominated the match and the prize distribution was done by the then Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, Shri MMK Wali.

Dr. Engr. Rajinder Jaina with famous singer Nitin Mukesh, son of top Bollywood singer Mukesh. Mr. Jaina organized a program called ‘Ek Shaam Sitaron Ke Naam’ on July 17, 1986 in which the chief guest was Mr. Nitin Mukesh with singer Shailendra and music by Shyamji Ghanshyamji.
The event was held at the IP Stadium to raise funds for a charity event. All the songs were performed by great artists such as Mr. Nitin Mukesh, Shailendra Singh and many other musicians and artists from the film industry, including famous actors Vinod Mehra and Shashi Kapoor.
