The intellectual and former University of Toronto professor described the concept of The Peterson AcademyHe said, “Well, this is a university that has some of the best university professors in the world. And I’ve had the good fortune of meeting people like that and making them a good offer and getting them to participate enthusiastically and teach only what they really want to teach, the way they want to teach.”

He added, “And we bring them to our studio in Miami, or go to their home country to film them. And we produce, I think, the best courses ever filmed, not only in terms of their educational content, but also in terms of the quality of their production.”

When asked which course he was most excited to contribute to the Peterson Academy, he mentioned his course on the first part of “Beyond Good and Evil” by German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche. “So that was a blast,” he said. “And it’s a great book, and I want to do the second part of the course. But reading it was a blast.”

“I also took a course on the Sermon on the Mount, which I very much enjoyed, and then I took a few courses on different psychologists, one of which was on Piaget,” Peterson said.

Of course, since the school is an “online university,” the psychologist mentioned the importance of the social media network, which has been created to support the community of Peterson Academy students.

He said, “So we have built a social media network into this platform, and we hope it will be the best social media network. And for a number of reasons, I think we have incorporated the best features of the social media networks that currently exist.”

“And we want to put young people in touch with other young people who are ambitious and forward-thinking and who want to be educated, and that’s what’s going to happen.”

Peterson emphasized several times during the interview that the Peterson Academy would offer a curriculum free of any political correctness or conscious themes, though he clarified that it is also not “anti-consciousness.”

“This is not a political venture. It’s an academic venture. So it’s essentially a university, a real university… We’ll know very soon if it’s going to work. I mean there’s a massive appetite for it,” he said.

During the interview the renowned thinker explained what he thinks about traditional Western universities.

“I think universities have gone so insane that I don’t think they can be saved,” Peterson told Fox News Digital, referring to many universities in the US and particularly those in Canada. Ivy League institutionsSuccumbing to leftist ideology.

Another selling point of Peterson Academy is its price compared to traditional colleges.

“We’re hoping to reduce the cost of a bachelor’s degree or bachelor’s degree equivalent by 95%, and I think we can do that,” he said. He later estimated, “We’re looking at a price around $500 a year – that’s our goal right now – that might change sometime next month because the economics of it are hard to figure out.”

Peterson said the $500 fee is more practical than free tuition, because it adds some important exclusivity to the program.

“People think free is a good price, but free is a stupid price,” he said. “And the reason free is a stupid price is because free is ridiculed by psychopaths. And so, Twitter is like 80% bots And Instagram and Facebook are filled with incredibly low quality and manipulative content… And that’s because if the entry cost is zero, there’s nothing to stop the fraudsters and parasites.”

He acknowledged that the Peterson Academy is not yet an accredited institution, but he is “working” on it.

However, he said it wouldn’t be devastating if his school didn’t receive accreditation.

Peterson said, “We believe we can circumvent formal accreditation institutions, because we’re going to make sure that if you get a one-year certificate or a two-year certificate — a three or four-year certificate — from the Peterson Academy, you’re going to know your subject matter, because we’re not going to engage in grade inflation, and we’re not going to award, let’s say, degrees of perfection, even within a given course.”

“And so we’ll be able to assure potential employers that people who have taken, let’s say, a one-year or four-year course have actually done the course,” he said. “They learned the material, they mastered the material, they were able to do it on their own.”
