1. “God Bless the USA,” Lee Greenwood

“God Bless the USA” is a must-read for anyone Fourth of July Playlist. The song was released in 1984 from Greenwood’s album “You’ve Got a Good Love Comin’.”

The song is full of patriotism, especially in the chorus when Greenwood sings “And I’m proud to be an American, Where at least I know I’m free, And I won’t forget those who died, That gave me this right, And I’ll gladly stand next to you And defend it today, Cause there’s no doubt I love this land, God bless the United States of America”

2. “Only in America,” Brooks & Dunn

This uplifting song was released in 2001 from country artists Brooks & Dunn’s “Stears & Stripes” album.

The song’s chorus states, “Only in America, dreaming in red, white and blue, Only in America where we dream as big as we wanna.”

4. “Take Me Home, Country Roads,” John Denver

“Take Me Home, Country Road” is a classic 1971 song from Denver’s “Poems, Prayers and Promises” album.

This country hit is still popular today and is a song that people will be familiar with, especially in West Virginia. Put it on your playlist and let everyone sing along to the catchy chorus.

In the scene in the film where the song is used, Brown sings the song during Apollo Creed’s entrance into battle against Ivan Drago. During the scene, Creed is covered in American-themed gear while singing the song.

This fast-paced jam will make you want to dance and celebrate the nation.

6. “Party in the USA,” Miley Cyrus

Although “Party in the USA” isn’t as “patriotic” as some of the other songs listed, it’s still a good song to play for this occasion.

It’s catchy, exciting and fun. It came out in 2009 and Sung by Miley Cyrus.

7. “The Stars and Stripes Forever,” John Philip Sousa

While it’s great to include country and pop hits on your 4th of July playlist, don’t forget to include the classics. Add “The Stars and Stripes Forever” by John Philip Sousa to your 4th of July playlist.

The song begins with “The Stars and Stripes forever, Let martial note in triumph float and liberty extend its powerful hand; A flag appear ‘mid the thunderous cheer, The banner of the Western land. The symbol of the brave and true.”

8. “American Saturday Night,” Brad Paisley

Brad Paisley is a country artist This song is the main theme behind the 2009 hit song “American Saturday Night.” It’s a song you’ll want to listen to over and over again.

The lyrics go, “It’s a French kiss, Italian ice, Spanish moss in the moonlight. It’s another American Saturday night. Oh, that’s exactly what we have right here.”

9. “America,” Simon and Garfunkel

This is an old song from the album “Bookends,” which was released in 1968. This Simon & Garfunkel song has a slow and calm sound, but it’s still a great choice to add to your playlist.

12. “Ragged Old Flag,” Johnny Cash

Johnny Cash, the country artist behind songs such as “Ring of Fire” and “I Walk the Line,” also released the patriotic hit “Ragged Old Flag” in 1974.

“See, when Washington carried that flag across the Delaware it got a little hole in it. And it got burned with powder the night Francis Scott Key was looking at it and writing if you can see. And in New Orleans with Packingham and Jackson pulling at the seams it got a lot of rips in it,” Cash sings.

13. “Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue,” Toby Keith

Toby Keith released “Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue” in 2002. This powerful country song is sure to make everyone feel proud.
