“General Hospital” star Johnny Victor Family and friends remembered him at his funeral in his home state of South Carolina, three weeks after he was killed in Los Angeles.
The actor died on May 25 at age 37 after he was shot in Los Angeles as he approached three men who were attempting to steal his car’s catalytic converter.
On Saturday afternoon, mourners gathered for Wachter’s funeral at the Summerville Baptist Church in Summerville, South Carolina. The service was organized by Wachter’s family, including his mother, Scarlett, and brothers, Grant and Lance.
The rally was also attended by Vactor’s friend Micah Parker and colleague Anita Joy. Earlier this week, Parker and Grant held a rally in Los Angeles demanding justice for the actor. The killers are still roaming freely. In the final moments of his life, Vector appeared in front of Joey and protected him before he was shot.
Parker shared a framed photo of Vector on Instagram, writing, “He has been laid to rest. But he is still with us.”
Parker also uploaded a photo of the floral decorations and framed pictures of Vector that were displayed on the altar steps during the service. On the photo, he tagged the Instagram page @justiceforjohnnywactor, which gives updates from Vector’s family and friends about the search for his killers.
Joey posted a photo of the funeral program on her Instagram Story, which also featured a picture of Vactor, writing, “Today was beautiful for you, Johnny. We love you.”
In another post, Joey wrote on a photo of Vactor’s funeral, “Unbelievable. But you are so loved.”

Last month, Joey shared an emotional post, He remembered How he and Vactor were walking to their cars after a bartending shift at the downtown L.A. bar Level 8 when they encountered three men attempting to steal a catalytic converter.
“Johnny was between me and the man who shot him,” she wrote. “When I heard the gunshot in the night, he fell hard into my arms. As I held him, I yelled ‘Honey are you OK?!’ and he only responded, ‘No! Shot!’ We fell to the street where I pushed my legs underneath him and tried to hold his body while screaming for help and begging him to stay with me.”
“I am so grateful to be a part of his world and he is a part of mine. His passing breaks my heart, but I believe I have found the best guardian angel. I love you Johnny Wacky,” Joey concluded.
Scarlett previously confirmed that Parker and Joey would be attending the service. She told Fox News Digital that she is looking forward to meeting Joey for the first time.

“I told Anita that ‘God must have bigger plans for her’, and then I said, Johnny’s death “This has to be bigger than all of this,” Scarlett said. “So, to change that, like we’re asking the city to do and change, it would be at least something.”

“A man full of magnetism and humility. A pure life force, the embodiment of passion, waking up early in the morning with purpose, ready to move forward. Johnny’s love will be missed and felt by all. He will forever leave an indelible mark on this world.”
The program also included Bible excerpts from the Gospel of Matthew, the Gospel of John, and the Book of Job.

Speaking to Fox News Digital earlier this week, Scarlett praised Attempt The campaign is being created by Vactor’s friends in Los Angeles, who started the #JusticeForJohnny movement to find his killers.

As the LAPD-led investigation continues and the movement grows, Scarlett said she’s “asking people to keep praying.”
“I really think justice is coming. I just hope it’s as soon as possible. And I think they’re going to need God’s help. Because it seems like there’s some really weak laws and help for the police department unfortunately. I feel sorry for them.”
