Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr has taken action against the Biden administration’s amended Title IX rule, which includes discrimination based on gender identity and sexual orientation in gender discrimination.
The amendment also fails to prevent schools from enforcing the ban transgender athlete Competing against biological women, which Carr believes elevates the foundation of the women’s game.
Carr said via a press release, “The Biden administration is destroying women’s sports by eliminating normal provisions that protect female athletes and demanding that biological males be allowed to compete against women ” “Today we have taken action to protect women’s rights to compete fairly, and we will keep fighting until we end this absurdity forever.”

Carr previously opposed Biden’s Title IX amendment, which was first introduced in July 2022. Carr has also taken similar legal action in support of Arizona and West Virginia’s “Save Women’s Sports Act”.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott also issued a statement asking the Texas Education Agency to ignore Biden’s “illegal order.”
“Congress wrote Title IX to protect women,” Abbott wrote on the X, along with a copy of a letter addressed to Biden. “Having no authority to do so, Biden rewrote Title IX to protect men who identify as women. It trumps Texas laws that ban men from women’s sports. “
In Abbott’s letter, he wrote to Biden, “Texas will fight to protect those laws and to deny the abuses of your authority.”
The Biden administration’s amendment has received reaction from many different angles, including from host Riley Gaines “Benefits for Girls” Podcast on Outkick.
“The president and his administration cannot act like they care about women or our opportunities and then eliminate women’s protections under the nation’s landmark gender equality law,” she said.
“Title IX was passed fifty years ago to end unjust discrimination in education, including athletics, I felt that this law was being weakened when female athletes like me were told to remain silent when a male swimmer won a title in the women’s category and female athletes were denied awards, honors and the opportunity to compete. .
