The Fort Lauderdale Police Department told Fox News Digital that Knezevich “was reported missing overseas,” thus FLPD “is not investigating his disappearance.” The department referred Fox News Digital to the State Department, which did not respond to requests for comment.

Padowitz had previously said that David had no ties to Madrid, did not know Spanish and that while living in Serbia he was cooperating with investigators there.
