It’s a flat googly from Kuldeep Yadav that turns sharply from around off and middle stump. Sam Curran is pushed back and plays it around and gets hit in front of the stumps. UltraEdge and ball tracking show nothing and three reds are given. England have now lost half their team for less than 50 runs and India are dismantling this batting order.

OUT! Stumped! Rishabh Pant acted too early! England bowled an even more slippery delivery. This one from Axar was not a wicket-taking delivery as it was too straight, a hard length on the pads, Moeen Ali tried to tickle it off his pads but couldn’t get it off the bat. The ball hit his thigh pad and rolled towards the keeper. Moeen Ali had no idea where the ball had gone and he stepped out to take the run. The keeper, Rishabh Pant, was alert and picked the ball off the turf and in one stroke, took off the bails. The third umpire was called into action and replays confirmed that even though Moeen turned and tried to ground the ball with his bat, he had stepped out of his crease.

Is it stumped? It seems that Moeen Ali lost his balance due to the sharp glove of Rishabh Pant behind the stumps. The third umpire was called and the replay clearly showed that Ali’s bat was in the air. Out comes up on the big screen!
