Israel Defense Forces On Sunday, Qatar accused the government-owned Al Jazeera news organization of employing a Hamas terrorist whose family held three hostages freed in Saturday’s IDF raid.
The IDF killed alleged Al Jazeera reporter Abdullah Aljamal during his dramatic rescue operation in Nuseirat, Gaza Strip.
IDF wrote On X, formerly known as Twitter“‘Journalist’ Abdullah Aljamal was a Hamas terrorist who held Almog, Andrey and Shlomi hostage in his family home in Nuseirat. No press jacket can exonerate him of the crimes he committed. @aljazeera what is this terrorist doing on your website?”
Al Jazeera lists Aljamal as a writer on its website, and he is reported to have written at least one article for the Doha-based network.
But according to the Times of Israel, Omar al-Walid, the Jerusalem bureau chief of the now-closed Al Jazeera office, denied that Aljamal worked for Al Jazeera.
Al-Walid said, “This person is not from Al Jazeera, and has never worked for Al Jazeera, and neither now nor in the past is his name listed as working for Al Jazeera,” adding, “We do not know him, and whatever rumors have been spread, they have no substance and are not true at all.”
Al-Walid said Al Jazeera plans to sue anyone who spreads claims that Abdullah Aljamal is associated with the outlet.

Imran Khan, senior correspondent for Al Jazeera English channel, wrote on Instagram that Al Jamal was earlier a freelancer.
“The man who was killed along with his family in the raid was once a freelance journalist,” Khan wrote. “He never worked for Al Jazeera Arabic or English.”
Aljamal reported for the Palestine Chronicle, published on Sunday. wrote It is “saddened to learn that one of its contributors in the Gaza Strip, Abdullah Aljamal, has been killed in the latest Israeli massacre at the Nuseirat refugee camp.”
In response to Fox News Digital’s queries, the Palestinian Chronicle published a statement and an article about Aljamal’s death.
“What is particularly tragic is that Aljamal’s last contribution to the Palestine Chronicle covered a previous massacre in which more than 40 Palestinian civilians were killed at an UNRWA school in the refugee camp,” the article reads. “Israeli media are linking Aljamal’s family to Israeli detainees, claiming that Abdullah’s father, Dr. Ahmed, and other family members were killed in the process of the bloody rescue operation.”
“These claims have been refuted by respected commentators and journalists online, who have pointed out inconsistencies in the official Israeli narrative.”

Al Jazeera journalists have been involved in supporting terrorism for years, according to a detailed report. Carmon added that “Another Al-Jazeera correspondent, Ismail Abu Omar, who took part in the 7 October attack and documented it from inside Gaza, was flown to Doha for medical treatment on 19 February after being injured in an Israeli air strike in Rafah a week earlier. He has been identified as the deputy commander of a Hamas platoon.”
According to the MEMRI report, “Al-Jazeera employed a correspondent named Tayseer Alouni, who was sentenced to seven years in prison in Spain for transferring money to al-Qaeda – and al-Qaeda even issued a public statement in his support. Al-Jazeera broadcast live the killing of an American soldier by an Iraqi sniper – which could only have happened if the media network had coordinated with the perpetrators of the killing.”

Israeli military experts told Fox News Digital that Al Jazeera uses its reporters to monitor Israeli military activities and pass information to Hamas. Yaniv said the evidence shows that Al Jazeera has harmed Israel’s national security.

Former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett wrote on Twitter: “Abdullah Aljamal is an Al-Jazeera reporter and Hamas terrorist who held three Israeli civilians hostage in his home. This has now been confirmed.
