Vice President Harris finally added policies to her campaign website for the first time since President Biden decided 50 days ago to drop out of the race and endorse her in the presidential race.

The website breaks down the policy proposals of Harris and her vice presidential running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, into four sections: “Build an opportunity economy and lower costs for families,” “Protect our fundamental freedoms,” “Ensure safety and justice for all,” and “Keep America safe, secure, and prosperous.”

Before the new names were added, Harris’ campaign website had pages for purchasing merchandise, making donations and learning about the candidate’s background, but it had no policy plan even weeks after she formally accepted the nomination at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago 17 days ago.

Harris’s website now includes a promise to cut taxes for middle-class families by “ensuring that no one making less than $400,000 a year pays more taxes.” The website promises that Harris and Walz will “ensure that the wealthiest Americans and the largest companies pay their fair share, so we can take action to build the middle class while reducing the deficit,” including “rolling back Trump’s tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans, implementing a minimum tax for billionaires, quadrupling the tax on stock buybacks, and other reforms to ensure that the very wealthy play by the same rules as the middle class.”

The website promotes a plan that would provide tax breaks to more than 100 million working and middle-class families. child tax credit and the Earned Income Tax Credit. It says Harris and Walz would also expand the child tax credit to provide a $6,000 credit to families with newborn children.

“Under his plan, the tax rate on long-term capital gains would be 28 percent for those earning $1 million a year or more, because when the government encourages investment, it spurs broad economic growth and creates jobs, which makes our economy stronger,” the website states.

The website also claims that Harris’ “cost-cutting agenda is the exact opposite of Donald Trump’s plans to raise prices, weaken the middle class, cut Social Security and Medicare, defund the Department of Education and preschool programs like Head Start, and repeal the Affordable Care Act.”

Much of the policy section of Harris’s website focuses on attacking her opponent. Under each policy section, Harris includes a subsection she calls “Trump’s Project 2025 Agenda.”

Former President Trump and his campaign have repeatedly said they Not associated with Project 2025which was created by the conservative think tank Heritage Foundation as policy recommendations for the next Republican administration. Harris’ website also claims that Trump would ban abortion and restrict in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatments, while the Republican nominee has said the opposite. Trump has said he would not impose a federal abortion ban and recently said he would consider ensuring that the government or insurance companies cover fertility treatments.

Regarding the economy, Harris claims that Trump’s “plans would increase the cost of living for families by at least $3,900 a year by imposing a Trump sales tax on imported everyday goods needed by American families, such as gas, food, clothing and medicine,” and would raise rents and put an additional $1,200 a year on the typical American mortgage.

According to Harris’ website, “Trump’s economic plans would also trigger a recession by mid-2025, eliminate more than 3 million U.S. jobs, endanger millions of jobs in the clean energy sector, increase the debt by more than $5 trillion, send inflation soaring, and hurt all but the wealthiest Americans.”

Under policy proposals to “ensure safety and justice for all,” Harris’ website denounces Trump as “a convicted criminal who only cares about himself,” claiming that the Republican candidate has “proven this time and again — from bowing to the gun lobby and doing nothing to address gun violence to killing the bipartisan border security agreement that would secure our border and keep America safe, just to help himself politically.” It also says that Trump, if elected, would implement the Project 2025 agenda “to consolidate power, bring the Justice Department and the FBI under his direct control so he can give himself unchecked legal power to attack his opponents, and rule as a dictator on ‘day one.'”

Fox News Digital reached out to the Trump campaign for comment but did not immediately respond.

Regarding foreign affairs, the website claims Harris “has been a tireless and effective diplomat on the world stage” and “will never hesitate to do whatever is necessary to defend U.S. forces and interests from Iran and Iran-backed terrorist groups.” Harris boycotts Israeli PM Harris “will always stand up for Israel’s right to self-defense and she will always ensure that Israel has the ability to defend itself,” her website says, referring to Benjamin Netanyahu’s address to Congress in Washington, D.C., earlier this year.

“She and President Biden are working to end the war in Gaza so that Israel is secure, hostages are released, the suffering in Gaza ends, and the Palestinian people can realize their right to dignity, security, freedom, and self-determination,” the website says. “She and President Biden are working around the clock to complete a hostage settlement and a ceasefire agreement.”
