The charges against the landlord also relate to his other property, which was shown in a viral video in which members of the violent Venezuelan migrant gang, Tren de Aragua (TDA), took over an apartment by breaking down the door with heavy artillery.
The agreement states that in exchange for the withdrawal of the charges, Baumgarten agreed to waive his right to a speedy trial and Nome Partners LLC agreed to sell or lease the property, and pay up to $60,000 in costs for cleaning and securing the premises, among other things. 9News reported.

Baumgarten’s company also blamed the TDA Gang’s takeover for the Aspen Grove Apartments’ deteriorating condition to become unlivable.
One investor told the Denver Post that police had known about the gang problem for about a year.
In letters obtained by the Denver Gazette, the investor said the situation had gotten so out of control that he asked local officials for help removing TDA members, who the attorney claimed had “forcibly taken control” of the property.
The property’s landlord also inquired about hiring off-duty police officers to protect the property, but the Aurora Police Department reportedly denied this request.

She urged him to “immediately issue directives” to local Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) offices to aggressively arrest, detain, and deport members of the TDA or other known foreign criminal gangs located in the state of Colorado, particularly focusing on Denver suburbs such as Aurora.
