Lucknow Super Giants vs Delhi Capitals Predicted XI, IPL 2024: LSG to remain unchanged;  Mitchell Marsh likely to return for DC



Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will host Delhi Capitals (DC) in the 26th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on Friday, April 12. With one loss and three consecutive wins, LSG is in third place. IPL 2024 standings with six points. DC, on the other hand, find themselves at the bottom of the points table with two points. Out of the five matches played, DC has won only one game and lost four. With that in mind, let’s take a look at the predicted XIs for both these sides ahead of a fascinating encounter.

LSG Predicted XI

Hard-hitting batsman Quinton de Kock has had a good performance this season. He has scored 145 runs in four matches, including two fifty-plus scores. De Kock has performed well against Delhi in the past and will be keen to thrash the DC bowlers on home soil.

KL Rahul (captain and wicketkeeper)

Star Indian batsman KL Rahul has struggled to find form in IPL 2024. He has scored 126 runs in four matches and scored one half-century. Rahul will be keen to play a fast-paced innings and get LSG off to a fast start against DC.

Devdutt Padikkal

Devdutt Padikkal has not performed well for LSG this season. The left-handed batsman has lost his wicket early in all the four matches he has played so far and will be hoping to recapture his old form in which he scored runs in abundance in the last IPL season.

Ravi Bishnoi

Ravi Bishnoi adds a dynamic spin-bowling option to the LSG team. So far, he has taken two wickets in four matches at an economy of 8.66. Against DC, Bishnoi’s spin variety has fetched him six wickets in the past and he will be looking to add to that figure on Friday.

mohsin khan

Mohsin Khan is likely to replace the injured Mayank Yadav in LSG’s upcoming match against DC. So far, Mohsin has taken three wickets in two matches and he will be hoping to remain among the wickets against DC.

Naveen-ul-Haq

Afghanistan fast bowler Naveen-ul-Haq will likely open the bowling for Lucknow against DC. Known for his ability to swing the ball at a good pace, Naveen has taken five wickets in four matches so far due to his variety in the ball.

Yash Thakur

Yash Thakur has had a good performance so far in IPL 2024. He has taken six wickets in four matches, including a player of the match haul of 5/30 in LSG’s last innings win against Gujarat Titans.

Prithvi Shaw

It is expected that Prithvi Shaw will open the innings for Delhi Capitals. Shaw had a slow start in IPL 2024, but he will enter the upcoming match on the back of his explosive innings of 66 runs in 40 balls against MI. He would like to continue his form against the LSG bowlers and lead DC to victory.

Tristan Stubbs

Tristan Stubbs will enter the upcoming match against MI on the back of a brilliant inning of 71* runs in 25 balls. Although his heroics went in vain, his innings included three fours as well as seven maximums and he will be full of confidence ahead of the clash against LSG.

Rishabh Pant (captain and wicketkeeper)

Rishabh Pant has shown that he is back to his best with his batting exploits in IPL 2024. The DC captain has scored 153 runs in five matches, including two fifty-plus scores at an impressive strike rate of 154.54. Pant will aim to build on his performance so far against LSG.

Abhishek Porel
