Nine survivors of the October 7 terrorist attacks on southern Israel filed a federal lawsuit pointing to nationwide college protests grappling with antisemitismArguing that National Students for Justice in Palestine (NSJP) and its parent organization are acting “as Hamas allies and propagandists” in the United States.

Through the NSJP, the AJP Educational Foundation Inc. – also known as American Muslims for Palestine (AMP) – allegedly “indoctrinates uninformed, misled and Influential colleges use propaganda to intimidate, influence and recruit students,” according to the lawsuit filed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.

The lawsuit, filed by leading US and global law firm Greenberg Traurig, alleges that AMP “functions as the propaganda division of Hamas in the United States” and “senior Hamas officials after those organizations and associated individuals were found It was established from the ashes of disbanded organizations that are “criminally and civilly liable for providing material support to Hamas and other affiliated terrorist groups.”

The lawsuit brought on their behalf accuses the organizations of violating the Anti-Terrorism Act and the Alien Tort Statute and seeks compensatory damages for the October 7, 2023 attacks.

The toolkit also advertises October 12 as “National Resistance Day” and encourages campus organizers to organize teach-ins, create tables of flyers to “challenge Zionist hegemony and popularize our resistance.” does, and provides additional instructions for “messaging and framing” to support.
