Patrick Mahomes was asked about the former president’s comments during a press conference on Wednesday as the Chiefs prepared to face the Cincinnati Bengals.
“I think Brittany does a lot in the community,” said QB, 28. “I think she does a lot in the community to help bring people forward and give people an opportunity to use their voice.
“People use stuff here and there during political times, but I don’t want it to affect the day-to-day functioning of my life and trying to live it to the best of my ability.”

Britney has been at the center of an online debate between fans and critics in recent weeks. It all started with a simple Instagram like of Trump’s 2024 policy platform on Aug. 13. Photos of the like quickly spread across social media channels, sparking so much backlash that the pregnant mother posted comments to defend herself and her beliefs.
He later liked the comment “Trump-Vance 2024” on his Instagram post.
There have been several instances of Britney’s likes going viral due to online Taylor Swift fan pages. Swift has supported Democratic candidates since 2018, when she endorsed Democratic candidates Phil Bredesen and Jim Cooper in the 2018 U.S. midterm elections in Tennessee.
He then endorsed Joe Biden for president in 2020, and his endorsement of Harris on Tuesday arguably had more impact. It’s his first presidential endorsement since his surge in popularity from the Eras Tour and his public relationship with Kelsea.
Swift’s relationship with Kelsey has led to several public moments between the pop star and Britney during Chiefs games.

In March, Kelsey told the Los Angeles Times that he and Swift have similar values since they began dating just a few months earlier, when they were both 33 years old.
“I think the values that we stand for and just, you know, who we are as people,” Kelsey said when asked why she thinks people are so attracted to their relationship. “We love shining a light on others, shining a light around the people that help us and support us. And, other than that, I think we both have a love for life.”

The love story of Patrick and Brittany is different.
Brittany and Patrick were born and raised in East Texas and began dating when they attended Whitehouse High School in Whitehouse, Texas. According to Data USA, Whitehouse is a city with a population of about 8,500 and has a history of voting Republican. The couple married in March 2022 and have two children, 3-year-old daughter Sterling Skye and 1-year-old son Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III.
Shortly after scrutiny began over Britney liking Trump’s Instagram content, Patrick wished her a happy birthday on Aug. 31.
In a recent episode of the “Hoop” podcast, Britney said she’s been leaning on her three-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback husband to get her through the recent public scrutiny.
“Having him there and guiding me has been a huge help to me. I think that’s what has brought us to where we are now.
“I think what they’ve always said to me is, ‘Stop caring what people think, especially people that don’t even know you,'” she said. “And so I think social media used to be very appealing to me, and now it’s like, honestly, I don’t care what people say about me anymore.”

Brittany hinted via her Instagram Story on Aug. 26 that she and Patrick could potentially disagree on some issues. “Contrary to the tone of the world today… you can disagree with someone, and still love them. You can have different opinions, and still be kind,” she wrote.
Patrick never He has never publicly expressed support for any political figure or affiliation. He told TIME in April that he would not talk about who he would vote for in the upcoming election. He stuck to that belief on Wednesday.
“I don’t want my place and my platform to be used to endorse any candidate or anything one way or the other,” Mahomes reiterated. “I think my place is to inform people to get registered to vote. It’s to inform people to do their own research and then make the best decision for themselves and their families.”
