PM Modi flags off six Vande Bharat trains in Jharkhand; check route and schedule | India News



New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi Six new programmes were virtually flagged off Vande Bharat Trains from Tata Nagar on Sunday JharkhandExpansion Indian Railways Fleet.
Vande Bharat trains will increase connectivity on these routes
These trains will enhance connectivity on various routes including Tatanagar-Patna, Bhagalpur-Dumka-Howrah, Brahmapur-Tatanagar, Gaya-Howrah, Deoghar-Varanasi and Rourkela-Howrah.
PM Modi paid homage to Baba Baidyanath
Addressing the people through video conferencing, Prime Minister Modi paid obeisance to the land of Baba Baidyanath, Baba Basukinath and Birsa Munda. He recalled his arrival at Ranchi airport, where a woman welcomed him by presenting ‘Jawa’ on ‘Karma Parv’. During Karma Parv, sisters pray for the well-being of their brothers.
The Prime Minister said, “I bow to Baba Baidyanath and Baba Basukinath, the land of Birsa Munda. When I arrived at Ranchi airport this morning, a woman welcomed me by offering me ‘Jawa’ on ‘Karma Parv’. During this festival, sisters pray for the well-being of their brothers. Jharkhand has been blessed with development today, six Vande Bharat trains were flagged off and lakhs of people will get permanent houses.”

The Prime Minister emphasized that Jharkhand has been blessed with development, as evidenced by the flagging off of six Vande Bharat trains and provision of pucca houses to lakhs of people.
PM Modi highlighted the significance of this day in Jharkhand’s development journey, with the state getting six new Vande Bharat trains, railway projects worth over Rs 650 crore, improved connectivity and travel infrastructure, and thousands of people getting their own homes under the PM Awas Yojana. He congratulated the people of Jharkhand for these remarkable development initiatives and the new Vande Bharat trains.
He said, “Today the state has been provided with the additional benefit of six new Vande Bharat trains, railway projects worth over Rs 650 crore, improved connectivity and travel infrastructure, and thousands of people getting their own houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. I heartily congratulate the people of Jharkhand for these remarkable development initiatives. I congratulate the people for the new Vande Bharat trains.”
The Prime Minister said that now the priority is the poor, Scheduled Tribes, Dalits, women, youth and farmers.
The Prime Minister emphasized that the priority of the Central Government is the development of tribals, poor, youth and women.
He said, “There was a time when development was limited to some areas. Jharkhand was backward. But Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas has changed everything. Now the priority is the poor, STs, Dalits, women, youth and farmers, so Jharkhand is getting Vande Bharat trains, modern infrastructure. I flagged off the trains. This will help the economy of the eastern region. PM Janman Yojana is being run for tribal brothers and sisters across the country. Through this scheme, an attempt is being made to reach those tribes who are very backward. The budget for railway development for Jharkhand is Rs 7,000 crore. If we compare it with the budget of 10 years ago, it is 16 times more.”
Prime Minister Modi also informed that more than 50 railway stations are being renovated in Jharkhand under the Amrit Bharat Station Yojana.
PM Modi said, “Today Jharkhand has also joined the list of states where 100 percent electrification of railway network has been done. Under the Amrit Bharat Station Yojana, more than 50 railway stations of Jharkhand are also being rejuvenated. Today, the first installment has been released for the construction of concrete houses for thousands of beneficiaries of Jharkhand under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.”
Routes and timetables
Tatanagar-Patna Vande Bharat Express: Vande Bharat Express connecting Tatanagar and Patna is going to start operating. It will run six days a week. It is expected that this train will cover the distance between the two cities in about seven hours. Departing from Tatanagar at 6 am, this train will reach its destination Patna at 3 pm. For the return journey, this train will leave Patna at 3 pm and return to Tatanagar at 11 pm.
Deoghar-Varanasi Route: The newly launched Vande Bharat Express will connect Deoghar and Varanasi. The train will pass through the state of Bihar via the Kiul-Gaya route and will include a scheduled stop at Nawada station. The Varanasi-Deoghar Vande Bharat Express will run on a six-day schedule, providing service every day except Tuesdays.
Tatanagar-Berhampur: The newly introduced Vande Bharat Express will run six days a week, with Tuesday being the only day it will remain closed. With this additional train, Odisha now has a total of four Vande Bharat Express trains.
Bhagalpur – Dumka – Howrah: This rail project will connect three states; Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal.
Gaya – Howrah: The Howrah-Gaya Vande Bharat Express is going to start its regular service from September 18, running six days a week, with the exception of Thursdays. The train will cover a distance of 458 km (285 miles) between Howrah and Gaya and will complete the journey in 5 hours and 40 minutes.
Rourkela-Howrah Vande Bharat: The newly introduced train service will make just three stops during its journey from its starting point to the final destination. The route will include stations at Chakradharpur, Tatanagar and Kharagpur. The first special train will leave Rourkela at 11 am and reach Howrah station at 6.15 pm.
Vande Bharat trains will boost travel, tourism and industry
The introduction of these Vande Bharat Express trains is expected to benefit various sections of the society including regular travellers, professionals, businessmen and students.
In addition, these trains will boost religious tourism in the region by providing faster access to pilgrimage sites such as Baidyanath Dham in Deoghar, Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi and Kalighat and Belur Math in Kolkata. Industries such as coal mines in Dhanbad, jute in Kolkata and iron and steel in Durgapur will also benefit from improved connectivity.
The Prime Minister also laid the foundation stone for various projects
Apart from flagging off the train, Prime Minister Modi laid the foundation stone of various railway projects worth over Rs 660 crore and dedicated them to the nation.
Indian Railways currently runs over 50 Vande Bharat Express trains, connecting states on its broad gauge (BG) electrified network.
