Unique – Actor and comedian Russell Brand said he finds it hard to understand why any freedom-loving American would want to vote for the US President Biden Attacking former President Trump in the upcoming election.

In a new episode of his podcast “Stay Free with Russell Brand,” which premieres Friday, Brand conducted a wide-ranging interview with model, author and RNC spokeswoman Elizabeth Pipko, in which the two discussed Trump’s trial and subsequent sentencing.

In an exclusively obtained preview clip Fox News Digital On Thursday, Brand, who has been vocal about his dissatisfaction with the system, expressed his personal thoughts on the upcoming election.

He told Pipko, “In a straight election between Donald Trump and Joe Biden, if you care about democracy, if you care about freedom, I don’t know what else you can do other than vote for Donald Trump, for exactly the reasons they claim you can’t.”

“They act as if the vote is for someone Donald Trump It’s almost like you’re voting straight for Armageddon, as you see the hysterical protests outside the courthouses, the endless bombast of MSNBC,” Brand added. “But I’m starting to think, no, a major threat to democracy is this kind of technocratic feudalism, which tells you it cares about you and it’s protecting the vulnerable, while it’s increasing censorship, increasing funding for wars, increasing divisions among ordinary Americans.”

A native of England, who has long been Opponent of censorshipHe said he was troubled by the disdain and “arrogance” among liberals toward Trump supporters and accused Trump opponents of criminalizing the former president with a “weaponization of the legal system.”

“Elizabeth, I’ve long been concerned about the arrogance, the contempt and the vilification that Donald Trump’s critics show toward people who support him,” Brand said. “And that’s when you have an administration that is emulating his policies, aping Donald Trump, while at the same time criminalizing them through the weaponization of the legal system.”

“This idea that … the Orwellian nightmare continues even when they tell you they’re helping you is a much bigger threat than the continued portrayal of Trump as a crazy strongman, a twenty-first century iteration of the authoritarianism of the last century,” Brand said. “To me, what we’re facing right now is an even bigger threat.”

The actor recently hosted independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. He mentioned it on his podcast and performed it onstage at a campaign event for Kennedy in Nashville last month.

Brand has previously criticized the “liberal establishment” for, in his words, “fostering petty differences” between them and their right-wing counterparts, and has argued in the past that he has been “co-opted by liberal and military interests” historically associated with the right.

The renowned actor, who produces long-form content on a variety of topics including news, politics, culture and spirituality, recently announced that he was converting to Christianity, and got baptized.

Last month he commented that as the modern world seems to lose its meaning, others are turning to faith before criticising deteriorating value systems and institutions.

“People are very skeptical about the fact that Growing interest in Christianity and returning to God, but for me, it’s clear,” Brand said on social media. “As meaning in the modern world deteriorates, as our value systems and institutions crumble, we are all coming to the realization that this frighteningly familiar awakening and beckoning is the one we have all known our whole lives, within and around us.”
