The South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) 2024 graced Dubai over the weekend with a star-studded extravaganza that honoured the finest talents from the South Indian film industry. The two-day event celebrated the best of Telugu, Kannada, Tamil and Telugu films. Malayalam CinemaOutstanding contributions were recognised in various categories.
On Saturday (September 14), all attention was on the Telugu and Kannada film industries, where awards for excellence in several categories were distributed. Meanwhile, on Sunday, the Tamil and Malayalam film industries took centre stage.
Director Nelson Dilipkumar’s action drama ‘Jailer’, starring superstar Rajinikanth in the lead role, was awarded the best film. Chiyaan Vikram won best Actor For her performance in ‘Ponniyin Selvan 2’. Lady Superstar Nayantara was crowned best Actress For her role in ‘Annapurani’.
aishwarya rai bachchan won the Best Actress (Critics) award for her stellar performance in ‘Ponniyin Selvan 2’, while Sivakarthikeyan won the Best Actor (Critics) award for his stellar performance in ‘Maaveeran’. Here is the complete list of winners across the four languages:
