A search for “TTPD reaction” on TikTok brings up thousands of videos as Swifties share their initial thoughts and feelings about the 31 new songs.
Amidst the live reactions going on all around social media, Some people have even felt it their duty to analyze each song for the benefit of others.

A clinical psychologist who spent time analyzing Taylor Swift’s new album shared thoughts with Fox News Digital on common topics.

Dr. Robert Cuyler, Chief Clinical Officer of Free Spirit, a prescription digital therapeutics company in Houston, Texas, Said that fan reactions to the new Swift album have been “intense”.
“It’s clear that we have intense fan involvement and recognition,” he said.
Cuyler said that the new album is a bit different from what she is usually known to release, which may cause extreme emotion in fans – as any person would react to a major change in their life.
He further added, “Many of the album’s songs and tone are evoking reflection in the minds of fans who are paying attention to their own dark places while listening to Swift.”

Many songs can “touch the heart” of listeners, which can be good for them mental health He said, in terms of reflecting and acknowledging similar experiences.
Getting a major star like Swift to write about the difficult things she’s gone through could potentially help take the “celebrity” out of “celebrity,” he suggested.
“The songs are very personal and unique to Taylor (Swift), yet they still somehow manage to be universal in the way fans connect and connect with them.”

Cuyler said that “I Can Do It with a Broken Heart” really caught his attention.
He said lyrics such as “I cry a lot but I’m very productive/It’s an art” were “vague”.
He said, “One perspective on it would be, ‘I’m in deep pain and I can fake it, no one knows how I’m hurting,’ but the other part of it is a sense of ownership in that stage — that ‘Even though I’m struggling with aspects of my life, I can move forward with the parts of my life that support me and that I’m proud of,” he said.
This, he said, is an example of a person who is able to manage a crisis without becoming overwhelmed by it – while also learning not to swallow emotions.
Cuyler said Swift has not confirmed or denied any of the theories circulating online about the meanings behind the songs on her new album.

She said it may be about a phase in her life that she needs to process and move on – something she is known for doing through the writing of new music.
One fan, Taveni Nkosi, posted his live reaction to “The Tortured Poets Department”. on tiktok and told Fox News Digital that the album may be her favorite Swift album to date.

He added, “The songs are very personal and unique to Taylor (Swift), yet they still remain universal in the way fans connect and connect with her.”
Nkosi’s favorite song on the album is also believed to have a deeper meaning: “Thank You Amy.”

Pauline Brenner, another fan who posted her live reaction to the album on TikTok, told Fox News Digital that “TTPD” is Swift’s best album in her opinion.
“Women must reinvent themselves many times because people lose interest very quickly and always want a new, shiny, shiny artist.”
He explained, “Somehow he has the ability to write songs that everyone can like in any way.”
Brenner said the song that stood out to her was “Clara Bow”, which discusses how women are often treated in the music industry.
