Timeline of a 14-year-old teen Georgia High School The life the student lived in a short span of time throws light on his turbulent domestic life.

Colt Gray, 14, and his father, Collin Gray, 54, are accused of killing two students and two teachers at Apalachee High School in Barrow County. Nine others were wounded, seven of them shot.

The teen had an unstable childhood, having to live in at least three rental houses in a short period of time.

According to the teen’s father, in recently released details of the police interrogation, “(Colt) has been through a lot,” and Colin Gray said the teen wanted a “simple life.”

Jefferson, Georgia Homes:

The Grays lived in two rental properties in Jefferson, Georgia — a small city with a population of about 15,000.

The family lived in a rental property, with the current tenant telling police the family was set to be evicted in May 2022, according to court documents obtained by Fox News Digital.

The family of five split up after the divorce between Colin and Marcy Gray. Colt went to live with his father, while the two younger siblings initially lived with their mother.

After the divorce, Colleen and Colt Gray rented another single-family home in a subdivision in the city.

Neighbors told Fox News Digital they had only been there for “a few months” before moving.

Colt and Collin were questioned by police at their rental home in Jefferson after the teens allegedly made violent threats to carry out a shooting at the middle school in May 2023.

In interview transcripts reviewed by Fox News Digital, Colin Gray was heard telling investigators that his son struggled with his parents’ divorce.

The father said his son “had some problems” at school. Previous middle schoolsWest Jackson Middle School, but it has “been a lot better” since he changed schools to Jefferson Middle School. The previous middle school was about 70 miles north of Jefferson, Georgia.

Interview transcripts taken by investigator Dan Miller in 2023 reveal the teen as someone who was harassed and “ridiculed” by his classmates.

“(Colt) just wants us to have a simple life. He should be excited to go into 8th grade. It was really hard for him to go to school and not hear anybody criticize him, you know, he went from one thing to the next, you know, he was talking to some of his friends,” Gray said.

“I was trying to get him on the golf team … like, ‘Oh look Colt’s gay. He’s dating that guy.’ He was just ridiculed day in and day out.”

Winder, Georgia home:

By November 2023, Collin and Colt had moved into a new rental home in Winder, Georgia. The Winder address is where the teenage boy lived before his arrest following the school massacre on Wednesday.

This is the house where Colt’s mother vandalized her ex-husband’s truck and went on a violent rampage in November 2023, resulting in him going to prison.

According to court documents reviewed by Fox News Digital, Marcy Anne Gray came to her rental home in Winder, Georgia, and scrawled two words on her ex-husband’s truck, which belonged to the construction company he worked for.

The cost of restitution was about $3,000, according to court documents.

The mother’s vehicle was then searched and officers found illegal drugs inside the vehicle, following which she was charged with several counts.

The arrest warrant stated that Gray had a glass Jar containing methamphetaminea “baggie” containing fentanyl, another “baggie” containing several muscle relaxants, and a glass pipe “used for ingesting narcotics.”

The warrant states that he concealed the identity of his Nissan Rogue vehicle by using a Nissan Kicks tag.

In December 2023, Marcy Gray was charged and pleaded guilty to single counts of using license plates to conceal identity, second-degree property damage, and criminal trespass/family violence.

Marcy Gray was prosecuted Georgia’s First Convict Act, Which allows eligible defendants to plead guilty without being convicted. Under the state’s First Offender Act, Gray spent the first 46 days in jail instead of the full 5 years of his sentence.

She was on probation for the remainder of her sentence.

During probation, documents show, Gray was prohibited from having any contact with her husband, Colin Gray, except through a third party in matters involving their shared children.

The first news of firing was received at 9:30 amOn Wednesday, the Sheriff’s Office received an alert at 10:20 a.m. of a report of an active shooter.

GBI Director Chris Hosey said law enforcement was on the scene “within minutes.”

“Law enforcement responded very quickly to this incident,” Hosey previously said.

Officers quickly located Colt Gray, and the juvenile suspect was taken into custody.

The 14-year-old is being tried as an adult and charged with four counts of murder. He is accused of using a semi-automatic AR-style rifle to kill two fellow students and two teachers.

His father, Colin Gray, faces related charges The latest effort by prosecutors to hold parents responsible for their children’s actions in school shootings.

“You don’t have to be physically injured to be a victim,” District Attorney Brad Smith told reporters Friday. “Everyone in this community was a victim. Every kid in that school was a victim.”
