Former President Trump and his running mate in Ohio Senator J.D. VanceThere have been at least 35 interviews since the Harris-Walz ticket was formed, while the Democratic presidential candidates have had only one unscripted interview so far.

The latest information regarding the Trump-Vance ticket emerged on Tuesday, when Vance appeared on video. Fox News’ “The Ingraham Angle” For interview.

Vice President Kamala Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, ended their long interview drought last week when they CNN’s Dana Bash On Thursday, Harris spoke to a reporter for the first time in Georgia after ignoring the media for several weeks. It was a highly anticipated interview, marking the first time Harris had spoken to a reporter since she picked Walz on August 6, while Trump and Vance have given interviews to a variety of news organizations in that period.

From 6 August, Trump said Fox News’ “Life, Liberty & Levin” host Mark Levin, NBC News, the Daily Mail, Dr. Phil, Fox News’ Alicia Acuna, Hugh Hewitt Radio, Fox Business, podcaster Theo Von, The New York Post, WBRE News Wilkes-Barre, WLOS News 13 Asheville, Univision and twice with “Fox & Friends.” He also appeared on at least two other cable news shows and had a lengthy conversation with his supporter Elon Musk, according to a Fox News digital review.

Vance, who has been critical of Harris’ avoidance of the press, has spoken to “Fox & Friends”, CNN’s John Berman, WBAY2, News 5 Cleveland, NBC News, “Meet the Press”, No Spin News, WALB 10, “CBS Evening News”, “The Brett Winterble Show”, “Jesse Watters Primetime”, “Fox News Sunday”, “The Dan O’Donnell Show”, ABC’s “This Week”, CBS’s “Face the Nation” and CNN’s “State of the Union” in that same time period.

Caroline Levitt, national press secretary for the Trump campaign, said Fox News Digital“Kamala Harris has failed to give a single interview or put a single policy proposal on her website because she cannot explain her record of creating an economy that is unaffordable for Americans, open borders that bring crime to every community, and weakness that fosters chaos and war around the world.”

Levitt said, “President Trump and Senator Vance have traveled all over the country, campaigning, and sitting down for numerous interviews, because they have enough respect for voters to tell them where they stand. It’s more clear than ever that President Trump has the message, the enthusiasm, the grassroots strategy, and the war chest necessary to win on November 5.”

Vance is a stark contrast to Walz, who was widely criticized Monday when he asked reporters at the Minnesota State Fair about six Hamas hostages recently killed in Gaza.

In Harris’s only interview, she defended some of her best-known policies on issues like fracking and immigration, while saying her “values” haven’t changed. She was also asked if she regretted strongly defending President Biden’s mental acuity following his debate debacle, even though he would drop out of the race less than a month later.

Harris was criticized within conservative parties for keeping Walz with her, as many voters were eager to see how she would answer tough questions without her running mate.

Political observers were interested to see how Harris would conduct herself when she was thrust into the spotlight after past interview failures. In 2021, Harris memorably botched attempts to defend the Biden-Harris administration’s border policy during an interview with NBC’s Lester Holt.

Responding to a question about not visiting the Mexican border, Harris said, “I haven’t been to Europe, I don’t understand what you’re saying. I’m not underestimating the importance of the border.”

Trump spoke and answered questions for a total of 65 minutes at the news conference, up from 83 minutes at his Mar-a-Lago press conference last month in Bedminster the following week.

It’s unclear if Harris will give interviews or hold press conferences before Election Day without Walz. Trump and Harris will meet in a debate hosted by ABC News on September 10.

The Harris campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
