CBI Director Praveen Sood emphasized that CBI and the Ministry of Law are working in a synergistic and collaborative environment to give priority to investigation as well as more efficient prosecution.
Sood emphasised that the role of CBI has been evolving over time, from initially dealing primarily with anti-corruption cases to special/economic offences, cyber crimes, bank frauds, etc. He informed that CBI has started enforcing these laws. He said that CBI is ready to help the states and other stakeholders in the implementation of these laws.
