Trace Adkins steps in Folk singer He burst onto the pop music scene in a big way in the ’90s and has since released 10 studio albums and dozens of chart-topping singles.

The versatile superstar, who also has acting and writing skills, admitted he is proud of his daughter Mackenzie (26), who maintained a neutral attitude during the tough casting process for the reality show “Claim to Fame”.

Mackenzie told her father that she was first contacted by a casting agency via direct message on social media and went through a process that left her hesitant to believe she was actually being cast for a casting agency. TV Shows,

“I’m glad you learned something. That’s how you should deal with anything that has to do with Hollywood,” Adkins told Mackenzie during an exclusive interview with Fox News Digital. “Because, yes, I have a lot of things, and most of which I’ve forgotten about, but there are a lot of things in my career that were related to Hollywood. And they never happened.”

While Adkins is primarily known for three decades of success as a country singer, he has also worked in the world of film and television for several years. Most recently, the “You’re Gonna Miss This” singer starred alongside Susan Sarandon in Fox family drama “Monarch,” But Trace is also credited with appearing on the big screen in films such as “The Lincoln Lawyer,” “The Outsider” and “Wyatt Earp’s Revenge.”

“They tell you, ‘Oh, yeah, we’re going to do this. We’re going to do that, and it goes on and on,'” Adkins said. “And then all of a sudden, one day you realize, OK, I haven’t talked to those people in six months. And it just went away.”

McKenzie agreed that she felt the same way when speaking to the casting company before leaving to film the show.

“There’s a lot of things that happened in my life that most of them I’ve forgotten about, but there’s a lot of things that happened in my career that were related to Hollywood. And they never happened.”

“I watched it, and I watched both seasons and I made sure it was a real show,” she said. “But I did a lot of interviews, and I met with a lot of different casting directors and … the producers were calling me, telling me, ‘You’re in the top 25, you’re in the top 15, you’re in the top couple; we’re still not sure.’ So, I thought, I don’t want to get so excited, and then not have this happen.”

She had only told her family what she was going to do a day before leaving home, and had very little information to support her story.

“I was a little worried, but I thought if she stayed with these people, maybe she’d be OK,” Adkins said.

“And I told you half of it,” Mackenzie said.

“I thought she was fired from the show, because, you know, she didn’t have her phone with her,” Adkins said. “So, about halfway through the show, she called me, and I said, ‘Oh no.'”

In “Claim to Fame”, contestants with famous relatives live together in a private residence and have to figure out who each contestant is related to, while also keeping their celebrity backgrounds a secret.

During the show, contestants compete in challenges that involve celebrity-linked clues, where winning teams can guess which celebrity a person is connected to by voting on lower-ranked contestant cast members. If the guessing person is incorrect, they are eliminated from the show.

Mackenzie made it to the finals with two rivals: Adam Kristofferson (Michael Bolton’s nephew) and Hud Mellencamp (son of john mellencamp,

Hudd and Mackenzie grow close during the show. Budding friendships That continued in real life, too. The pair even got to meet their famous fathers at the finale viewing party.

“He was at the watch party with his dad, and the dad was there, too, and we were all together. It was great,” Mackenzie said.

Anyway, growing up as the daughter of a country music legend never bothered Mackenzie. She is the eldest of three daughters with his ex-wife Rhonda Forleo Adkins. Trace also has Tarah and Sarah with his ex-wife Barbara Lewis.

“He’s always been the dad,” Mackenzie said. “He was always on the road when we were little. I mean, I’ve been on the road with him since I was born. We went out every summer. When I was in school, we went out on the road every summer with dad. I’ve definitely gotten used to it.”

Trace added, “I can’t even imagine how weird it must have been growing up backstage at the Grand Ole Opry. I mean, you know, ever since she was old enough to walk and all her sisters and … they’ve grown up like that. They don’t know anything else.

“They’re not impressed. They’re not impressed with me anymore. I would say, if I could kick a football over the top of the house, they’d be impressed. But they’re not impressed with other things.”
