Former Wyoming Republican Representative Liz Cheney The race for the Oval Office officially endorsed Vice President Harris, who broke with the GOP last week to hit the campaign trail with the Democrat ticket in the key battleground state of Wisconsin.

Fox News Digital traveled to Casper, Wyoming over the weekend to hear from voters about their thoughts on the upcoming election and whether Cheney turned down the Republican presidential ticket in favor of supporting Harris this cycle. Cowboy State voters overwhelmingly condemned Cheney for supporting her, with some calling her a “traitor” and a “turncoat”.

Asked about his thoughts on Cheney’s campaign with Harris last week in Wisconsin, Clark Johnson told Fox News Digital, “I’m not impressed by it at all.”

“I think it’s ridiculous. I think he’s a traitor to the country,” Gunner Berg, another Wyomingite, said of the campaign event.

Cheney was the third most powerful Republican in Congress from 2019 to 2021, but she saw her rising star fade in the party as she launched repeated attacks against Trump following the riot at the Capitol on January 6, 2021.

“It is important to recognize that a violent mob attacked the U.S. Capitol in an effort to prevent us from carrying out our constitutional duty,” Cheney said after Trump supporters stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6.

Cheney voted to impeach Trump on charges of incitement of insurrection, sat on the House Select Committee to investigate protests over the January 6 attack and has continued to attack Trump this year.
