Trump focuses on campaigning while Democrats are ‘in disarray’ amid Biden chaos


Unique: The Trump campaign doesn’t want to “get in the way” of Democrats “taking shots at each other” over President Biden’s re-election chances, a source told Fox News Digital, with the former president preferring to focus on campaigning and the upcoming Republican National Convention rather than on his opponent’s failure to win.

Aside from challenging Biden to a second debate — which he proposes to hold without a moderator — former President Donald Trump has been restrained in his attacks on Biden. When asked about strategy, a Trump campaign source said Trump is instead focusing on his campaign and winning.

“The Democrats are in disarray,” a Trump campaign source told Fox News Digital. “Why should that get in the way of them shooting at each other?”

The source told Fox News Digital that the Trump campaign is eyeing the Republican nominating convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, which begins July 15 and runs through July 18. Trump is expected to be formally nominated as the 2024 Republican presidential candidate during the convention.

“We have the convention coming up, we have two rallies coming up, and we have the vice presidential announcement coming up,” the source said. “We’re focused on what we need to do and we have big news coming up.”

A Trump campaign source said: “We’re going to let the Democrats shoot at each other all day.”

Pressure is mounting on Biden to step down and postpone his campaign for 2024, including calls from many in the Democratic Party for him to drop out of the race. Concerns began to surface after Biden’s poor performance in the first presidential debate Against Trump Last month.

Trump is expected to give his first interview since the debate on Monday night with Sean Hannity on the “Hannity” program on Fox News.

Trump is scheduled to hold a rally at his golf club in Doral, Florida, near Miami, on Tuesday night. On Saturday, Trump is expected to travel to Pennsylvania for another rally at the Butler Farm Show.

Meanwhile, Biden, in his letter to Democratic members of Congress on Monday, urged them to stop questioning whether they should end their re-election bids and “move forward as a unified party.”

Biden wrote that he was “firmly committed to staying in this race” and argued that any questioning of his candidacy “will only help Trump and hurt us.”

Biden, 81, is the oldest president in the country’s history. His halting speech and faltering answers during the debate in Atlanta caused widespread uproar in the Democratic Party and calls for him to step down, both publicly and privately, from within his own party.

Trump’s approval rating has risen above 50%, and the presumptive Republican nominee is running ahead of Biden on voters’ top two issues: the economy and immigration, according to a new poll.

The survey by USA Today/Suffolk University was conducted between June 28 and 30 among a sample of 1,000 registered voters, following a turmoil within the Democratic Party following Biden’s debate loss.

It showed that 51% of respondents said they agreed with Trump’s performance as president from 2017 to 2021, while 41% said they agreed with Biden’s current performance.

Regarding the two top issues of the 2024 campaign, the economy and immigration, more registered voters He said he believed Trump would do a better job than Biden.

The poll found that 53% of registered voters trust Trump to deal with immigration, while 40% said the same about Biden.

Respondents also believed Trump to be more competent than Biden Dealing with national security52% to 42%, and 51% to 41% on dealings with China.
