Because of the weakness of the White House, we face chaos in the Middle East, our troops are under attack, the bloodiest attack on the Jewish people since the Holocaust is taking place, and Americans are still held hostage by Iran-backed Hamas.

It doesn’t have to be this way.

Four years ago, we celebrated the signing of the Abraham Accords, a historic step toward peace in the Middle East. Trump AdministrationOn September 15, 2020, President Trump signed these agreements into effect, creating the largest agreement between Israel and Arab countries in modern history. Americans, Israelis, and Arabs were brought together under a shared vision. Cultural, economic, and defense ties were deepened, and the world saw Iran’s greatest fear come true: a more unified and prosperous Middle East. It was peace through strength in action.

As a combat veteran who served in the Middle East, I co-founded the Abraham Accords Caucus to help Congress build on the agreements’ strong foundation. Through this work, I have introduced legislation to strengthen and expand these agreements by establishing an integrated defense system with our allies and partners to protect against Iranian-backed attacks on land and at sea.

Unfortunately, after three and a half years of Biden and Harris in the White House, Iran-backed terrorists These efforts have been put to the ultimate test. In April, the United States, Israel, and our Arab partners together shot down over 300 Iranian projectiles, a feat made possible by me. It is clear that Iran wants chaos; and the lack of leadership from President Biden and Vice President Harris has only fueled their wishes.

Biden-Harris White House The US has refused to lift sanctions on Tehran, allowing the regime to promote and finance its proxy terrorism and hostage diplomacy. Emboldened by this administration’s decisions, Iran-backed Hamas worked to undo the progress made by the Abraham Accords when these terrorists attacked Israel on October 7, 2023.

And yet, 11 months after the invasion, Israel and the Arab states have demonstrated that they remain committed to the Trump-led agreement despite ongoing tensions in the region. While this is proof that the strength of solidarity behind the Abraham Accords remains alive, we must remain vigilant to ensure that progress is not thwarted by the appeasement of the Biden-Harris administration.

Now more than ever, we need to build on the Trump-era Abraham Accords, which is why I am stepping up my work to ensure that Israel and our allies have a comprehensive strategy of cooperation to counter Iran’s efforts.

My The STARS Act Defense coordination will be expanded to protect against hostile space activities. This will improve satellite security coordination, enhance the United States’ situational awareness, defend against threats from adversaries, and deepen space cooperation with Israel and other allies in the Middle East.

To further integrate regional defense operations, the MY LINK Act would strengthen people-to-people ties between military leaders of the Abraham Accords countries, and the MY AI Accord Act Instruct the Pentagon Enhancing partner-shared network capabilities to improve cyber collaboration.

The agreements have not lost their power. In fact, their continuation is precisely what Iran fears. United Middle East Help end the wave of regime terror across the region that seeks to destabilize our partners, kill American soldiers, and destroy the United States, Israel, and our allies. Four years after the Abraham Accords, there is too much at stake: We cannot afford to fail.

President Trump brought our partners together and ended Iran’s dream of destruction in the region. Four more years of Kamala Harris would lead to more chaos, put another nail in the coffin of American leadership and destroy agreements.

What is needed at this point is a new commander, not another renegade.
