World records These aren’t all about athletic ability or longevity — and they can be pretty weird and even a little strange.
Many world records are quite random and winners retain their number 1 position for many years, and very few people attempt to challenge the record holder.
There are many strange world records related to food.

1. The most Big Mac burgers I’ve eaten in my life
Donald Gorske holds the record for eating the most Big Mac burgers in a lifetime.
Gorske, from the United States, has eaten a total of 34,128 Big Macs in his life.

According to Guinness World Records, Gorske said, “What made me crazy about the Big Mac was the hamburger. I knew I wanted to eat my favorite food, a hamburger, every day. The best hamburger sandwich ever was the Big Mac, so I wanted to eat that every day.”
“The main reason I have stayed in this job for so many years is that Big Macs are still my favorite food And I look forward to eating them every day.”
What’s Gorske’s advice for someone who wants to challenge him? “Don’t do it.”

According to the source, Gorske said, “My advice to anyone who wants to challenge my record title is ‘don’t do it.’ I’ll be dead before you can even challenge it. I’m blessed with a high metabolism and good health, which allows me to eat Big Macs without gaining too much weight.”
“I’m probably the only person alive who can eat Big Macs every day without any side effects.”
2. Cow brain is the most eaten in 15 minutes
In 2002, Takeru Kobayashi ate the brains of 57 cows.
According to Major League Eating, he accomplished this feat in a total of 15 minutes.
That’s an average of about four cow brains per minute.
3. The most eaten cockroaches
Ken Edwards of Glossop, Derbyshire, England holds the record. Most surviving cockroaches Can be eaten in a minute.
How many cockroaches did Edwards eat? – 36 Madagascar cockroaches.
In 2001, Edwards ate cockroaches in just 60 seconds.

4. Fastest time to eat 50 Carolina Reaper peppers
Some people like it spicy, and the Carolina Reaper is one of the hottest peppers out there.
Mike Jack, Canada In September 2023, ate 50 peppers in 6 minutes and 49.2 seconds.
According to The Guardian, after eating 50 chilies to break the record, he ate 85 more, bringing his total to 135.

“The first chilli is the worst,” Jack told Guinness after setting the record. “The initial shock of spiciness is intense. The second chilli doesn’t seem as bad, but each one after that gets hotter and hotter, hitting new spots in your mouth.”
This is not the only Guinness World Record set by Jack.
He also holds the record for the fastest time to drink a bottle of hot sauce in 8.56 seconds, the fastest time to drink a liter of tomato sauce in 1 minute 5.56 seconds, and the longest habanero pepper kiss, which he accomplished with the help of his wife.
The kiss lasted for 15 minutes and 6.5 seconds.
5. Most mayonnaise is consumed in three minutes
You may like a little mayo on your sandwich, but no one eats as much mayo as Michelle Lesko.
According to Guinness World Records, Lesko of Las Vegas ate the most mayonnaise in three minutes on December 13, 2018.
The amount of mayo lasco taken in one spoon was 2,448 grams, which is equivalent to about three and a half jars.

6. Most hot dogs eaten in the competition
Joey Chestnut has eaten the most hot dogs Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest to date.
According to the Guinness World Records, he ate a total of 76 hot dogs in 10 minutes on July 4, 2021.

According to the source, he has also set records in over 50 other food-related challenges, including eating the most pork sandwiches, eating the most Taco Bell soft tacos, and eating the most boiled eggs.
7. Most people eaten in 5 minutes
Peeps are a marshmallow delicacy often eaten around Easter.
According to Major League Eating, competitive eater Matt Stonie ate 255 Peeps during the second annual World Peeps Eating Championship in 2017.
