WWE Bad Blood 2024 results and highlights: The Rock returns, CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre and more | wwe news


highly anticipated WWE’s premium live event, Bad Blood has kicked off with plenty of surprises and a series of high-octane matches on the card. With a few segments in between and Naomi, Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair hosting the event, the Bad Blood matches drew loud cheers from the fans in the arena. Here are the highlights and complete results of the night.

WWE Bad Blood 2024 Results and Highlights

After all, The Rock is back home, this iconic line proved true recently at Bad Blood PLE when The Great One returned to WWE. A hooded Jimmy Uso also returned to help. Hell in a Cell Match: Drew McIntyre versus cm Punk
The match between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre was a treat for the fans in the arena. Both the superstars started aggressively out of anger towards each other. McIntyre overpowered Punk early on, sending him into the cage. Punk retaliated by slamming McIntyre’s head into the cage wall before bringing a weapon into the fight. Steel chair and wrench were used in the match. Both the wrestlers caused huge damage to each other.

Punk turned the tables and used the furniture to punish the Scottish Warrior. As McIntyre countered with his signature claymore kicks and brutal strikes, Punk continued to fight despite the astonishing pain. Both men had near falls, with Punk narrowly missing out on defeat several times. This brutal match ultimately ended when Punk wrapped a chain around his knee and delivered the GTS to secure the victory.
Result: CM Punk defeated Drew McIntyre.
WWE Women’s Championship: Bayley vs. Nia Jax (c)
The match started with Jax dominating Bayley. The WWE Women’s Champions overcame her with several powerful strikes. Bayley also retaliated by throwing several moves at Jax. While Bayley stood strong throughout the match, it was not enough to overpower the sheer strength that Jax possessed, she controlled most of the brawl with consistent strikes, even pinning Bayley Also hit with his special moves.

Nevertheless, Bayley did her best and when it looked like she had a chance to win, Jax’s partner Tiffany Stratton interfered, and attacked Bayley with the Money in the Bank briefcase. Jax took advantage of the opportunity and hit Bayley with a Samoan Drop from the top rope. He followed the Annihilator to ensure victory.
Result: Nia Jax defeated Bayley to retain the WWE Women’s Championship.
Finn Balor vs. Damian Priest
Damian Priest is on a revenge tour against his former Judgment Day colleagues, but it’s been a back and forth battle. Finally both the superstars got a chance to fight face to face in Bad Blood. The match began with an exchange of strikes between Balor and Priest, with Priest taking early control. Balor retaliated with a Sling Blade and targeted Priest’s ribs. The priest responded with heavy attacks and was hit by a broken arrow which almost caused him to fall. Bálor countered Priest’s power moves and Priest pulled off Bálor’s Coup de Grace.

Judgment Day members, JD McDonagh and Carlito interfered, however, Priest did not lose his focus. In the end, the priest captures him from the doomed South of Heaven to ensure victory.
Result: Damian Priest defeated Finn Balor.
Women’s World Championship: Liv Morgan (captain) vs Rhea Ripley
The match began with Ripley dominating Morgan, taking her down with a powerful clothesline and dropkick. Morgan then targeted Ripley’s knee and delivered a sunset flip bomb into the barricade. Despite her efforts, Ripley countered Morgan’s move and locked her in the Prism Trap, but Morgan barely escaped by grabbing the ropes.

During the match, Dominic Mysterio who was locked in a shark cage above the ring and was scared, somehow managed to break the lock. But before he could escape, he hung upside down from the cage. Ripley used a kendo stick to attack Mysterio. However, Ripley’s dominance was cut short due to interference from Raquel Rodriguez, leading to a chaotic ending with no official winner.
Result: Rhea Ripley won by disqualification but Liv Morgan retained the Women’s World Championship.
Tag Team Match: The Bloodline (Solo Sequoia and Jacob Fatu) vs. Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns
Roman Reigns returned to the ring for the first time in 181 days, teaming up with the undisputed WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes. The match started with Rhodes tackling Jacob Fatu before tagging Solo Sequoia. Reigns finally entered the ring for the fight and delivered several powerful punches and corner clotheslines to Sequoia. Afterwards, Sequoia and Fatu kept Rhodes isolated as they dominated the majority of the match.

The American Nightmare eventually made a hot tag to Reigns and OTC took control with a Superman Punch and near falls. Fatu and Rhodes crash into the commentary table. As Sequoia had Reigns, Jimmy Uso made a surprise return, superkicking Tonga Loa and Tama Tonga. With Jimmy distracted, Reigns hit a Spear on Sequoia and won.
Results: Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns claimed victory against The Bloodline (Solo Sequoia and Jacob Fatu)
