Here are the results and highlights from WWE RAW (August 5, 2024)

1) The Wyatt Six vs. Chad Gable and The Creed Brothers

The Wyatt Six took out Gable and the Creed Brothers before the match even started and threw them out of the ring. The match finally started after Gable and the Creed Brothers slowly made their way to the ring. Gable and his team had no answer to the Wyatt Six and were punished hard by Dexter Lumis and Joe Gacy in the opening moments of the match.
It was a tough stretch for a while, but Gable and the Creed Brothers finally got a much-needed break when they managed to corner Joe Gacy. Unfortunately for Chad, Gacy managed to pull off an incredible reversal that allowed him to escape Gable’s attack and tag his partner Erick Rowan.
Rowan easily defeated the Creed Brothers and Chad and put his team on the winning track. In the end, Gacy and Lumis chased the Creed Brothers out of the ring and then knocked out Rowan and performed a combined move to end the match. If he doesn’t get a win against them soon, it would be best for Gable to stay away from the Wyatt Six. At the rate things are going, they’ll very soon be able to make Gable hurt himself trying to punch above his weight class.

2) The New Day vs. Authors of Pain

This match was entertaining from start to finish. Throughout the match, there was not much difference between New Day and AOP. Both teams were putting on a great performance and their technical excellence was on full display. Akam and Kofi fought each other and also decided to tag their partners.
Xavier Woods got the tag from Kofi and it looked like someone had taken over his body. Immediately, Woods unleashed an attack that knocked out both Akam and Rezar. Although Rezar tried to fight back, he had no success. Karrion Kross had to come in and throw Woods off the turnbuckle to give Rezar a fighting chance.
However, Kross did not expect New Day to have any help. But everyone was surprised when Odyssey Jones came in and started throwing the Authors of Pain around like he was playing with kids. Jones’ presence near the ring distracted Razor. Woods took advantage of the situation and escaped by converting the head lock into a pin. Razor did not know how Woods could turn the situation around and he was not very quick to react and his carelessness gave New Day the win via pinfall.

3) Awesome Truth vs A-Town Down Under

This matchup had a lot of potential and lived up to most of the hype, but it ultimately disappointed due to a poor performance from R-Truth. Truth tagged out in a desperate situation and tackled Miz. Miz landed consecutive moves on both Grayson Waller and Austin Theory.
At the end of the fight, Miz was able to knock Theory down and started getting ready for a splash. While Miz was getting ready, R-Truth tagged himself in. Miz applied his splash but was unable to pin Theory as he was tagged out. Before confusion ensued between the two Amazing Truth Before the ball could be cleared, Grayson Waller came into the attack.
R-Truth caught Waller and hit him with the Attitude Adjustment, but he accidentally knocked out The Miz as well. This allowed Austin Theory to sneak in and pin R-Truth, sealing the win for A-Town Down Under. If R-Truth had refused to tag for a few seconds, Awesome Truth would have won tonight’s match.

4) Sheamus vs. Ludwig Kaiser

Sheamus Vs. Ludwig Kaiser This has been a spectacle for an incredibly long time. Both fighters have impeccable chemistry in the ring. Wherever they face off, we get to see some amazing moments filled with the most impressive moves. Tonight was no different. Kaiser knew he couldn’t beat him Shamans In a straight fight, he would rely on moves to inflict damage on the Celtic warrior.
First Kaiser feigned injury and forced Sheamus to drop his guard, then he ambushed him to surprise him and dropkicked him into the steel steps. But as expected Sheamus composed himself and resumed the punishment. Ludwig got another lucky break when Pete Dunne suddenly appeared and tried to take out Sheamus. Unfortunately, the Celtic Warrior proved too strong for Kaiser.
Kaiser also tried to take advantage of Dunne’s interference, but even his signature move couldn’t keep Sheamus down for the three count. The Celtic Warrior kicked him in the face, shrugged him off and managed to land a Brogue Kick on Kaiser, ending the match. Sheamus has the ability to give us a main event level matchup every time he steps into the ring.

5) Io Sky vs. Sonya Deville

Sonya Deville was scheduled to face Dakota Kai but later pulled out due to injury, so her Damage CTRL teammate Iyo Skye took over in her place. Iyo Skye had a great performance, not only defeating and dominating Sonya Deville, but also leaving the ring to take care of Deville’s teammates on several occasions.
If not for Zoey Stark’s interference, Io would have ended the match much quicker. Io and Kairi Sane worked together and managed to get rid of all the distractions around the ring. After Baszler and Zoey Stark were eliminated, Io managed to land an Over the Moonsault Splash to seal her win tonight.

6) Lyra Valkyria vs. Shayna Baszler

There wasn’t much difference between Shayna Baszler and Lyra Valkyria in the early moments of the match. The two were competing with each other. Eventually, Lyra took advantage and beat Baszler into a corner. She laid Shayna down on the floor and prepared for a splash but her teammates distracted her.
Baszler took advantage of this and attacked Valkyria who was still busy dealing with Baszler’s teammates who were roaming the ring. Despite repeated interference from Zoe Stark and Sonya Deville, Valkyria managed to defeat Shayna Baszler. In the end, Lyra had completely defeated Valkyria and it seemed that her victory was almost certain.
Unfortunately, Baszler’s teammates attacked Valkyria before she could get the three count. The referee noticed and Lyra won via disqualification. It would have been even more spectacular if she had been able to beat Baszler despite the help from ringside, but a win is a win.

7) Damian Priest vs. JD McDonagh

Priest has been through a lot over the last two nights. At SummerSlam 2024 he lost the World Heavyweight Title to Gunther due to interference from his old friend Finn Balor. Both Balor and Dominik betrayed the original Judgment Day members and went on to form their own Judgment Day.
Then the game began when JD McDonagh was to face Damian Priest. As the match began, it became clear that McDonagh was nowhere near Priest’s level. Damian showered chops, kicks and slams. It seemed like JD would be put to a tough test tonight, but the new Judgement Day arrived and started attacking Damian Priest.
This automatically sealed Damian’s win as McDonagh was disqualified. However, Damian took a beating from his old teammates. Even though he was on his last legs, Priest made a comeback and managed to knock all his enemies out of the ring. Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan managed to beat him down indiscriminately, but they also escaped after Rhea Ripley came to Priest’s rescue. This story has taken a whole new turn, with the new Judgement Day coming up, things will only get better in the coming weeks.
